Dr. Mariana Delgado, MD

Called Dr. Delgado's Office as a Referral from my Primary Doctor. Whomever I spoke to on the phone was very condescending! I was told Dr. Delgado does not treat Depression or other Mental Health Issues contradicting her specialties list, so I asked what she does treat, and was told she is not taking any new patients instead. United Health Care has her listed as taking new patients. Rather than debate the issue with her staff, I found another Psychiatrist with a very professional and helpful staff.

I tried to contact this office at least three times to make an appointment - I was only able to leave a message and never received a call back.

I saw Dr. Delgado three years ago, requesting her supervision as I came off medication for bipolar disorder. Over the course of a year's consultation, Dr. Delgado determined that my diagnosis was likely in error. She helped me reclaim my life. I continue to be stable and med-free thanks to her compassionate care. Dr. Delgado is a holistic practitioner in every sense of the word. I highly recommend her services.

Dr. Delgado supervised my effort to discontinue unnecessary psychiatric medications and determined that my diagnosis of bipolar disorder was in error. She was compassionate and competent throughout the year I spent in consultation with her. Dr. Delgado freed me from a nightmare and helped make it possible for me to reclaim my life as a writer and advocate for mental health care reform.

It took more than 24 hours for someone to return my initial call. Since the office was too far for me to travel, they gave me several other names. Less than a week later, the office called asking my husband for me (I wasn't home). I returned the call the next day and left a message. The doctor called back approximately 48 hours later (the recording had said they call back 24 to 48 hours later). At this point, I had a good psychiatrist appointment - the office is also good a returning calls promptly. I have been getting psychiatric treatment for more than 20 years and find it unacceptable that an office in this field takes so long to return calls.

My first visit was a breeze, mainly because I previously had a medication regimen with another doctor that worked for me. Dr. Delgado listened to me and applied the same regimen without intervening with "new" medications. She is a small practice, so getting ahold of my doctor is no longer a problem and I don't feel like I'm just a number. Highly recommended!

I actually was a patient of hers when she was here in the South Bay area of Los Angeles before she moved to Florida. She was very warm, kind and caring and she was a great listener. A refreshing breath of fresh air compared to my previous shrink who was just a pill pusher. Within 1 year, I was back to normal :)I hope and wish Dr. Delgado the very best in her new life and practice in Florida.
