         Dr. Clougherty graduated cum laude from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. She completed a general practice residency at York Hospital and has been in practice for more than fourteen years.
       In addition to patient care, she has taught at Harrisburg Area Community College's Dental Hygiene Program.
      Dr. Clougherty has volunteered for three 10 day mission trips providing dental care to orphan children in Ecuador. She has been a dentist for Casa Corazon, "The Heart House", a mission program which provides surgical care to medically compromised children from Honduras. (Casa Corazon)
     Dr. Clougherty has served as the Chairperson for National Children's Dental Health Month for the Harrisburg Area Dental Society as well as the Fifth District Dental Society.

       She's served as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Dental Association, an alternate delegate to the American Dental Association, and has been a consultant for the Pennsylvania Dental Association's Political Action Committee.
       Since 2006, Dr. Clougherty's practice has been profiled in national ad campaigns by the American Dental Association and was the first dentist in the nation chosen to be profiled on ADA.org
