She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, has completed the American College of Emergency's Physician's Director Academy, and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. Her interests include physician wellness, circadian rhythms, and non-narcotic management of chronic pain. She did her residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Emergency Medicine and has been in the practice of community emergency medicine since completing residency in 2002. Dr. Poulose also has a Master's of Divinity from Emory University and completed a residency in hospital chaplaincy prior to attending medical school. She is the mother of four children.
