My child has been seeing him for a while. When I had to discuss labs and test results he ignored my calls. He then had someone (who never treated my child) call with bad news. I called him for two weeks, never got a return call. Either he is overwhelmed with patients or just doesn’t care. Either way, It’s unacceptable. My child is devastated and this doctor did not do right by us. So very disappointed and upset with myself for trusting him. He waited too long and now it’s too late to help my son. Thanks for nothing, Doc.

Dr Castro-Magana diagnosed my PCOS in 1999 (at age 18) when the condition was not well known or treated. He put me medication that helped me lose 100lbs in 2 years and gave me back my life. He is the most caring and lovely man and I only wish that I could still see him now at age 37 -Deena

I was a patient of his nearly 20 years ago as a 13 year old. I'm not comfortable getting into specifics other than to say there would be no circumstances in which I would allow my child to be a patient of his. Separate from this, he also, I believe quite recklessly, prescribed me some medication which now as an adult I realize was not at all appropriate for me to be taking as a child.

He never returns any calls, if his staff ever gives him the messages. Even when my son had a bad reaction to a medication I had to call 3 times before anyone even got back to me. If i can't speak to my childs doctor because he is just too busy to have himself or his staff get back to me then i need to find another doctor! UNACCEPTABLE!

I had to wait over 3 months to get an appt with the dr as my son could not miss school . I woke up at 530am to get my son there are time. when we arrived there was no staff there, only one woman in the back whine had to shout to to let her know we were there waiting. 45 mins waiting we still had not been seen! I asked the nurse much longer and she was rude and told nevhecwas busy . We were the ONLY people I the waiting room. I finally had no choice but to have to leave without being seen. I said to the nurse we couldn't wait , my son had school and we waited 3 MONTHS for this spot . She said nothing and let me walk out . You can never reach dr Magano for emergencies or to discuss anything and he NEVER returns calls. Bring he gives experimental medications that other Drs don't agree with like anastrazole ... That is really bad practice. You cannot get refills on meds .. His staff is rude and impersonal ... I will not be returning ... My time is valuable too .. Not just his and… this is my child ... If I have a problem or questions in recto be able to reach my dr!
