Dr. Mariano Martin Piedra, MD

Dr. Piedra is rude and his ethics are severely questionable. He does not look out for the best interest of his patients. I would not recommend him.

Mariano Piedra's ethics are severely questionable. He put my life in jeopardy by having me detox from a benzo at an extremely uncomfortable and possibly life threatening rate and I will never forgive him for that. He is condescending, misogynistic, extremely unprofessional, judgemental, and accusational. If you want compassion and empathy when you are in your weakest/most vulnerable moments look elsewhere! Stay away if you don't want to suffer from unnecessary duress! His NP Luckhart is worse!

he is caring, and makes the patient and the family of the patient feel comfortable, welcome, informed, and is kind and gentle in his approach to his treatment.

Dr. Piedra's and his nurse practitioner really know how to make a person struggling with mental health feel worse.

I have seen Dr. Peidra for many years. He has listened, supported, and challenged me since the first time I walked in with severe postpartum depression. As the years have gone on and my life has changed, Dr. Peidra has altered treatments to address the now instead of assuming everything is fixed and static. The office staff is always helpful and kind.

I am truly disheartened how I was mistreated by dr. Piedra.. I have been a patient for three years and since then have referred my two dear friends to him. Once they started seeing him his lack of professionalism really shocked me. Just in 2012 his little minions that answer the phones had called me to reschedule my appointments only 12 hours in advance (in some instances the day of!) they did this seven times.. I made my appointments a month in advance to avoid these occurrences. The seventh time it happened was the last straw for me I told the receptionist that this was inappropriate and that I would not be able to reschedule and that I would not be returning to see this doctor ever again and for her to cancel all my appointments with him, she hung up. And yet I was billed for a missed appointment..

I started seeing Dr. Piedra when my husband of 20 years just up and walked out. I could not deal with it on a daily basis, so one of the physicians I worked with recommended Dr. Piedra. I went to see him soon afterwards and he has done nothing but help me. It took a lot of trials and errors medication wise, but he finally found what we believe to be the right regiman for me. If not for Xanex, I honestly do not think I would have made it. I have a lot of anxiety and panic attacks, and it doesn't take much to set them off. I truely believe if not for Dr. Piedra, I would have been gone a long time ago. He has a way of talking me through everything. I would not trade his care and compassion for all the money in the world. He has been the only one to make me feel good about myself and kept me going.

Dr. Pierdra is not only the most intelligent and knowledgeable psychiatrist in the area, he is a caring person. His expertise in psychiatric medicines, and talking therapy, as well as other methods, has been a great help in my life.
