Marie Burrell

Tamaqua native Marie Burrell, CRNP, has joined the offices of St. Luke’s Lehighton Family Practice and St. Luke’s Lehighton Medical Associates as a nurse practitioner, expanding capacity for new patients.
As a family practice nurse practitioner, Burrell will help diagnose and treat older adults, adolescents and children 13 and over. She will be at St. Luke’s Lehighton Family Practice at 1254 Interchange Road in Lehighton on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning. She will be at St. Luke’s Lehighton Medical Associates at 575 South 9th Street in Lehighton on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon.
Burrell grew up in Tamaqua and worked for 21 years at Blue Mountain Health System before joining St. Luke’s in 2008.
“Growing up and working in this region, I feel I know and understand the needs of the community and will strive to provide the personal touch that patients of St Luke’s have come to know,” Burrell says. She is excited about the …opportunity to serve families where she has spent the majority of her professional career.
Burrell graduated from LaSalle University’s nurse practitioner program in May 2017. She holds a master’s degree in nursing education from Moravian University.
Burrell lives in Slatington and is married to her high school sweetheart, Tom. She is the mother of three grown children and a granddaughter, all of whom she enjoys spending time with. She has a passion for live music, playing the piano and traveling.
