Dr. Marie Guay, DO

Dr. Guay was the only doctor to return my phone calls last spring 2018. Its been almost a year and my personal situation has improved greatly. She took caution with me because the main concern I was seeing her for was addiction problems. After many visits she diagnosed me with ADHD and carefully treated me. My life has improved so much this past year and Dr. Guay is who I have to thank.

I'm an abuse victim. Dr. Guay grossly misinterpreted trauma manifestation, and her diagnosis caused significant problems for me for many years. I'm encouraged to write this review after reading a more recent patient review along the same lines. Apparently not a good doctor to see if you have suffered abuse. But also very important to understand that psychiatrists also can be abusive, and I view this doctor, based on my own experience, as someone who is dangerous. Dr. Guay mistreated me, she was dismissive, and she was wrong.

This clinician was very unprofessional. She appeared to form an immediate negative impression of me and seemed to completely lack appropriate objectivity. I was an abused woman crying out for help, she claimed that I was abnormally on of me and seemed to completely lack appropriate objectivity. I was an abused woman crying out for help, she claimed that I was abnormally angry and that I inappropriately blamed everything on my husband. I suspect many women who are being abused are angry at their abuser. Her evaluation of me only made things worse.
