Dr. Marie Jardel Mcglynn, MD

I cannot believe how extremely RUDE the employees at this office were. I spoke with Amanda, the office manager and she was so condescending and horrible. I called to establish care and spoke with Sela who scheduled me an appointment for March 19th. I let her know that my insurance was a JMPN HMO plan and that I was going to call my insurance to have them post date the change of PCP for 3/1/24 since I'm currently under the care of another physician and cannot NOT have a PCP in the interim. She said that I needed to call and do that first before she could schedule me (why she scheduled me already before verifying is beyond me) she then said that the insurance needed to send them a letter with the reference number. I asked to speak with the office manager at that point and she said she would have her call me back. I then received a call from Amanda who was so rude. She said that it's her office policy that they cannot schedule until the PCP is changed on the card, even though Sela… said that the insurance can post date it. She said that it's in the best info the office to do it that way. What about what's in the best interest of the patient?!! What horrible patient care. So a patient can't have a PCP while they wait a month if they have HMO insurance if you want to schedule with them. How does that even make sense. And like I said, I'm currently under the care of a physician for a medical condition and cannot be without a PCP for a month. She then said that her doctor would not treat my medical condition and that their office doesn't agree with disability. She says her doctors will only sign for disability for 2 weeks and that's it. Hmm for someone who is not a physician she was quick to diagnose and tell me what treatment I needed. I cannot believe that the doctor would refuse a medical necessity and I cannot believe that they have such a rude office manager. She also says that she's the manager so she makes the office rules and she made that policy. I asked to speak with the doctor and she said that she wouldn't take my call and that I could email. She then said "I actually don't think I even want to give you her email." So unprofessional. She then said "I'm going to hang up now because we won't be able to have you as a patient." Wow, just wow! I dodged a bullet for sure. If an office manager can be this unprofessional and the doctor allows it, that speaks volumes!!!

It is hard to get an appointment with her because thats how popular she is! Yes you might need to wait in exam room longer than you want. That is because she actually TALKS to her patents and really cares about you. She doesn't just push drugs at you either. She is kind and caring.

it is hard to get an appointment, and yes sometimes you have to wait awhile. But that is all because Dr McGlynn actually listens and works with her patients to assist them with their medical needs, she doesn't just rush you through like a quota that needs to filled (unfortunately that is often par for the course with many doctors these days.) She has helped me with a variety of medical issues over the years and always has a conversation with me filling in the knowledge I dont have and not simply repeating the stuff I learned long ago. A+++ We will continue to go to Dr McGlynn as long as she is still in practice. Also her nurses and front office staff are also all top notch, friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated. She must treat them well to have such a consistent across the board support team.

Today I had to have an app. as I had not been in for 2yrs and needed a refill on my prescription. Arrived early and told the front desk I was here to make sure my prescription would be renewed. Saw the Dr. and enjoyed the visit and very helpful. Husband drives to Safeway and prescription still had not been called in. This entire fiasco started 3 days before with Safeway saying the prescription needed Drs. approval Good Drs. but this office does not run smoothly, may be look elsewhere.

I have seen many physicians, several of whom I would rate as excellent, however, Dr. McGlynn stands above them all, in a class all by herself. She is an amazing, caring, knowledgeable physician who notices things no one else does. She is up to date on the latest medical information. I'm so glad I found her.

I have been a patient of Dr McGlynn for over 10 years and I would not choose any other. She is compassionate, and caring.

Be prepared to spend 1-2 hours. They want you there 15 minutes prior to appt time and have you wait for an hour in the room for her to speak with you for about 10 minutes. Dr. McGlynn is a great doctor just super slow!

I love Dr. Marie Mcglynn, she talk and ear very well and careful, but....but the employees are horrible!! they DO NOT have respect for us patients ... they eat while talking with patients ... they do not answer the phone, all they pretend to be busy!!! I leave this office because these people in the front desk make me sick!!

Dr. McGlynn came highly recommended but with a word of caution. She's very popular and appointments are at a premium. I guess that's the price you pay for Quality Health care.

I have been a patient of Dr. McGlynn's for over 10 years and when she left the outpatient center in Brentwood my family and I followed. She is dedicated, caring, knowledgeable and the best doctor I have had in the last 30+ years. I do agree the girls in her new office need to be more on the ball and prompt in returning calls and appointment reminders. I always recommend her to any and everyone looking for a new MD. She's the best.
