Dr. Mariel Davila-Martinez, MD

My 70 yr old sister was referred by her primary doctor to see if she should have an alternative anticonvulsant regimen due to the medication she has been on causes her red blood cells to be quite large and she is always cold. My sister had seizures when she was a little girl and has not had one in over 60 yrs. Dr Davila Martinez saw my sister last summer and took her off 1 medication. That seemed to be fine. She saw her again in January and had my sister ween off of the other medication. She told us to f/u as needed. On 3/8, 2 wks after stopping her medication she had a seizure! Dr. John Cullen saw my sister in the ED and put her back on the medication. He said, “I guess that was a bad idea”. I hope he passed that along to his colleague Dr. Davila- Martinez!

This was the worse dr appointment that i have ever had. I was there for neuropathy. She never looked at my feet. She sat and stared at me for the longest time and never said anything. At the end of the appointment I had to ask her if this was the end of the appointment, and she shrugged her shoulders. She was totally unhelpful. I would totally advise against seeing this doctor.

Wasted my time and money. Disappointed with this doctor. Didn’t examine me. Just the basic blood pressure, weight, pulse rate and reflex’s. I wanted her to examine my gait while walking because of ongoing leg problems. She didn’t even acknowledge it. I left upset and she knew it.

Horrible doctor, extremely disappointed. Saw my husband once over webcam (due to COVID) and for 2 minutes in person because he had an episode in the office but brushed it off and said it was nothing. Did one test on him and told him it’s anxiety driven. I’m assuming she made up her mind on what was wrong with him the second he mentioned he’s been deployed and doesn’t do well with fireworks. Even our primary doctor agreed that we pretty much got blown off. Long story short he continues to have these episodes and have gotten worse and resulted is not being able to breathe. We have been waiting on a new appointment with a NEW DOCTOR but all could have maybe been avoided if she maybe cared a little more. Would not recommend.
