Dr. Mariel Veronica Otter, DNP, CRNP-PMH

Dr. Otter is my son's psychiatrist and she has been wonderful with him. She listens to his concerns and his made very helpful suggestions that have made his day-to-day life easier. She is very knowledgeable about different medication available as well as non-medication options. I firmly believe she cares about her patients overall well-being and will be forever grateful for the impact she has had on my son.

My treatment with Dr. Otter has been life changing for the better. My meds were working well when I started with Dr. Otter, but I still had serious issues with stress and anxiety. She recommended strategies to approach stress and anxiety triggering times at work. I listened and slowly integrated this approach into my daily life. Now, I rarely "instantly react" to "come to the rescue" when others (co-workers/customers) are having what they consider emergencies. I am still able to help others with their problems, but I don't feed into the angst/drama and enjoy helping now. She has greatly helped me in other ways too. Dr. Otter really listens, is a very calming force, and has a certain je ne sais quoi that makes what she says resonate in your head. Dr. Otter's help has been a game changer in my daily life. Dr. Otter invests so much of her time and energy into patients! She makes you feel like you are not alone in this process of healing through mental health crisis or living with mental health disorders and things like depression. She makes you feel like you are not strange or weird or something negative your head can tell you, like you are just human like her and trying to get by in this struggle called life. Dr. Otter takes the time to find out your interests, really listens when you talk, and remembers those details and relates them to how you can incorporate them in your life when your struggling down the road. She is very professional and just has this humanistic aura about her that makes you feel almost like your talking to a peer or a friend not a Dr. or superior. I'm grateful to have found an amazing Dr. and you will be too!
