Dr. Marigrace Domingo Lim, MD

Makes you feel very comfortable, is very sweet and genuinely cares about patients. Dr. Lim is also very passionate about the health and well-being of women and you can see that as soon as she begins speaking to you. Very pleasant.

Dr. Lim was our OB-GYN for my wife's pregnancy with our first son two yrs ago (at St. Luke's). I went to every OB-GYN visit and my wife and I share everything, so these are both my firsthand impressions as well as my wife's. My wife and I feel very fortunate we had Dr. Lim as our OB-GYN. She was there every step of the way from when we were thinking about trying to have a baby thru every check up and afterward. She had a busy and active practice, but we always felt that she took enough time to answer our questions and gave us informed answers we could trust. She conducts herself very professionally, which could easily be misread as aloofness -- in our experience, however, she was more caring and invested than we would have expected our doctor to be, compassionately addressing our fears without judgment, spending time w us in the hospital after the baby was born (once I had to leave the appt early, Dr. Lim suggested that my wife call me so I could hear our baby's heartbeat). We were sad… to see her leave NYC.

I chose to use an overseas institution to do an invitro procedure and I needed someone in NY to hep me prepare and follow up. The practice I had been with before was not interested and could have cared less about my problems. Dr. Lim was willing to take me on as a patient, even with my complicated circumstances. She was sympathetic, straightforward, knowledgeable and funny. It was no trouble to get appointments and she took time with me each and every time, to answer questions and follow up. She even gave me her home number when she had to be away from the practice for personal reasons. All of my colleagues from work went to her and we were SOOO bummed when she had to move. I think she is just great.

This Dr. was recommended to me, but after 5 visits, I/m not sure why because my friend regretted having her baby with this Dr. The Dr. is very abrupt with her visits, and makes uncomfortable comments during examination. I found her very impersonal. More importantly, when I had to have a treatment done she forgot the mention some very important information that would affect me for 4-5 weeks until the day before the procedure. I found that to be very irresponsible. Luckily, she moved to another state and I am moving on!

Ok the first time I visited I just thought it could have been me but on the second visit I realized it is Marigrace. I just dont think she has the ability to work with the public, I find her to be condescending and she admitted after she looked at my results a second time she misdiagnosed me. She spent of 3 minutes with me both appointments. Oh lets not forget 15 seconds when she called me to tell me there was a problem.if you need a doctor find someone else .... i do recommend valerie wells on the ues

I had an emergency situation that I did not know about and could not get an early appointment despite telling the receptionist my symptoms. I ended up going to someone else and had to be rushed to ER. I have seen the doctor a few times, and had questions about trying to get pregnant. I did not find her very helpful - I needed some guidance on dosage for folic acid, etc., and did not get much detailed information from her. It seemed as though she had too many patients and needed to rush the meeting. As someone who is trying to get pregnant, so many things can go so wrong, I need a doctor who gives me detailed information on pre-natal vitamins, can recognize an emergency situation and keep a staff that can give me an appointment when I need it. That did not happen with Dr. Marigrace.I will continue to go to my new doctore even though she is a 30 mins cab ride away because she was there when I needed her.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Nearly no wait. I have several health problems she was very thorough and personal while sitting and taking note of my history.

Overall, I liked Dr Lim very much. She came across as pleasant, professional - and I think she could be sensitive and caring if the occasion called for it (my routine check was hardly such an occasion). However - both she and her staff were clearly being as brisk as possible, and I felt a bit hurried out of there. This may have been because they were overbooked that afternoon. I waited 1 hour and 20 mins to fill my 3.30 pm appointment. And this is just a minor quibble - but really, you would think that if they are going to make you wait that long they would have something other than battered old Fischer Price catalogs and insurance brochures to read in the waiting room? I nearly died of boredom!

Dr. Lim did my laproscopic surgery recently and she was the best. From our initial consultation to the follow up after my surgery, I was treated with kindness, caring, and respect. She was knowledgable and informative. I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Lim, her office, and her staff. I would definitely recommend her ( and I already have!).

Dr Lim wasn't on call when I went into labor, but she knew how nervous I was about my first baby. She came in on a Fri night to deliver me and thank god she did. At the very end, my baby's heart started dropping and she had to use a vacuum to help me push the baby out. It was a terrifying experience, but having my doctor there made me less scared. She was confident and calm and so she made me feel the same. I have a beautiful healthy baby girl and I have Dr Lim to thank for it!
