Dr. Marijo Perry, MD

Our family was shocked at her unprofessional behavior the night my dad was transferred to Hospice and she was the Dr there that night. We had him moved out the same night to another Hospice where the Drs and nurses were more caring. Upon arrival from the hospital to Hospice since it was dinner time he was not fed before being transferred. After they put him in his room (which was old and dirty - trash cans full, pounds of dust everywhere, lamp shades crooked.. it was a mess) we asked about dinner. We were told kitchen was closed. Being frustrated that he had no eaten and they seemed unconcerned, our frustration ended up in argument with a nurse (who had attitude) because she walked away when we were trying to discuss the situation and how he would get food. Dr Rothchild not only started laughing at a family member but after being called out on it defended her behavior with the excuse she was defending her (rude attitude nurse). I have never in my whole life experienced a… situation where a Dr. laughed at a family (esp in Hospice!) like she was a teenager. We were floored at her immature unprofessional behavior. We immediately requested they move our father into another facility that night. Between this Dr and the condition of Hospice this was one of the worse experiences we have had in any healthcare facility.
