Dr. Marilu Obyrne, MD

She did not give me a refraction to see if my distance vision was so bad that I would benefit from the operation. She just said you have cataracts & the best thing to do is a Toric lens implant. I trusted her & had it done. Big mistake, I have several problem including pain in my head (not a headache, but pain from the left side & around the back of my head), constant left eye pain, distorted vision, chest pains ( most likely from the stress of the eye pain) Do not go to this Dr.

I am still suffering from a Toric Lens implant that she did 2 years ago. My left eye hurts all the time & I have numerous side effects.

Toric lens implant left me with constant pain in left eye. DO NOT GET THIS PROCEDURE. She said she has done thousands of these procedure. How many were necessary & how many were successful ?

Appointments are not immediate, with either doctor. Both doctors are good doctors however, the staff including front and billing are the most rude and laziest ever encountered; will never recommend this office to anyonr because of them.

I found the Clinic on the Web and made an appointment. The staff was rude. They charged extra for a standard eye exam, which my insurance did not cover. Dr. was fine.

Talked wife into unnecessary surgery then botched it. Wouldn't take my dog to her.

Drs. Marilu and brother AJ were my doctors in New Orleans before hurricane katrina. When I came back home, I was saddened to know that they had relocated. Still went to Dr. marilu before I relocated to Texas. When I move back, I will resume my visits to Dr. Marilu now located in Manderville, LA.

Dr. O'Byrne spent a good deal of time answering my many questions. Her staff is great, too.
