Dr. Marilyn Jean Booth, MD

Dr Booth is my mentally retarded sister's doctor. She is wonderful to my sister and treats her in kind and with respect. My sister is completely non-verbal and Dr. Booth does bother talking to her asking questions and LISTENING! For folks who don't realize how hard it is to find professional folks to help disable people out you can't imagine how grateful I am to have her in our lives. A good doctor for sure and a decent human being to boot.

Dr. Booth has been my doctor for over 25 years and has proven track record for making sure my health was her highest priority. She is very attentive, responsive and provides clear direction for maintaining a healty lifestyle.

Amazing doctor, I am her patient for a while, did all my prenatal with her and had her assisting my c-section, very professional! No complains, couldn't ask for a better physician!

I love Marilyn Booth and have been happy with her for almost 20 years now. She is getting harder to get into for an appointment though as her caseload as increased. I still get plenty of time with each visit though. As a Fibromyalgia/CFS patient, she doesn't always have new answers but is generous with encouragement and a hug! She listens to me and I feel like she genuinely cares about me.

I had to pick this doctor from a list as I was on an HMO and had just moved to town. So the first time I met her was in the hospital with my new born baby...and I was sick; had a painful sore throat, lost my voice and was coughing so hard my head throbbed. She was rude and seemed put out by the fact that she had to stop by to see how I was. When I told her how bad I was feeling she offered nothing nor any advice...and she was gone as quickly as she had entered. My Gyno came in after her and was surprised my doctor didn't offer so antibotics or something to help me get over my illness. He prescribed some and told me to call him if I need anything. I thought maybe I caught her on a bad day, I figured she must be in a hurry...but follow up appt offered the same attitude and coldness. She even had the same type of rude attitude with my kids. Maybe she just didn't want another HMO insured family in her office.

I felt like Dr. Booth was a nice lady- but I'd rather have her for a neighbor than a doctor. It seemed like she always had another doctor filling in for her and it was frustrating when I was having infertility issues and always having to explain my case from the beginning to a new fill in doc. I lost my baby and her staff still gave me a "new baby" package and continued to call me for follow ups on my pregnancy which I thought was careless and insensative at best. I just didn't have a good experience with her- although I do think she is a nice person.

Marilyn was our family doctor from 1986 to 2006. I could not have wished for a more dedicated, insightful physician. She delivered my second son, helped us through multiple family health issues, was innovative, collaborated well with other health practitioners, including my naturopathic physician, and kept us on track with tests, results, immunizations, flu shots, and the latest info. on issues affecting our family. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

Marilyn has been my doctor for 20+ years now and I have always felt that she does a great job listening to what I'm saying, and asks the right follow up questions. I still drive out from portland to see her because any new doctor that I tried were not any where near as caring as she is. Which I think is very important when it comes to a family doctor.
