Dr Daroski is so kind and knowledgeable

Dr. Daroski asks thoughtful questions and listens respectfully when responding. She cares and is smart. She is able to figure out what is wrong and possible ways to correct problems. My extended family now see Dr. D.

I feel very comfortable talking with Dr. Daroski. She reminds me of my grandmother; she intently listens and asks questions to clarify what I am saying regarding my health. My prior physician was a male who didn't listen or understand my concerns. Unless it was an emergency he was reluctant to recommend any tests or further diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Daroski; she is a "gem".

To her credit, this doctor was open to referring to specialists at hospitals she is not a staff member of, which seems unusual locally. Also, she responded to most questions. Even so, I felt uncomfortable in my first visit to this doctor. She asked some intimidating yes/no questions of me, including whether I live alone, which I felt uncomfortable discussing. It surprised me that a doctor as esteemed as she is did not conduct a thorough (why? how? when? etc. ) review of symptoms, a physical exam, or look at my radiology scans. I had to check the young office medical assistant's correct input of my med list on the computer while standing; she did not give me a written copy of my med list record for review while seated. Also, the office did not give me any written summary of my visit or working diagnoses at the end of my visit there. It took a lot of time and effort to attend this visit due to disabilities. St. Clair hospital's reputation is better help of people with… disabilities. Mostly this visit was a disappointment in that regard. The medical assistant neglected to take my heart rate, but was thorough otherwise in checking my vital signs. It was ridiculous that the receptionist asked for a payment before visiting with the clinical staff and doctor there.

Dr Daroski is the most magnificent of doctors! Primary care physicians, today are besieged with the volume and scope of needs for their patients and so it is easy for them to "wear out"--at least emotionally. Dr. Daroski, with her phenomenal memory, gift for diagnosis and mature level of experience never seems to flag. She shines as she really listens & remembers what her patients tell her. She is uncanny in her skills applying expert knowledge, logic and a myriad of other gifts to heal and help her patients. I have been a medical advocate for family and friends who are patients of Dr. D and constantly marvel at the skill and heart of this great physician. Dr Daroski demonstrates a depth of empathy and caring along with exceptional medical skills that make her THE DOCTOR EXTRAORDINAIRE. Despite having interacted with hundreds of physicians in my lifetime, I have never encountered her equal.

I'm a recent physician's widow and Dr. Daroski had been a colleague of my husband. When I met with her, she totally emphathized with my stress levels and immediately ordered a nuclear stress test to diagnose what needed to happen to restore me to health. It doesn't get any better than this.

Dr. Daroski saved my life. I was a walking dead person with a 99% blockage. Because of Dr. Daroski (literally) I was sent for a stress test and then she referred me to the best cardiologist. The night of the stress test, knowing I had a bad blockage, Dr. Daroski gave me her HOME phone number. She said if I needed her, call. She also gave me her home number and pager number when my brother died. I had to tell my 85 year old mother who was also her patient. I was a wreck with worry how my mother would react. I was so relieved just knowing I could reach her if I needed her.
