Dr. Marilyn Mittenthal, MD

She went on vacation for a month and I had an appointment scheduled during this time. She never notified me that she needed to reschedule. Now I am out of my psychiatric medications. This is malpractice as far as I am concerned.

She has no clue and will just prescribe drugs on top of drugs. Then she wants cash. She does not bill insurance. Even if you have coverage it is very hard to get reimbursed. She doesn’t do anything but sit in her tiny office and ask for cash. She had no clue how to run a medical practice, which is clear when you end up having to try to get your insurance company to reimburse you directly because she is too lazy to help.

In a time where most psychiatrists just prescribe meds, Dr. Mittenthal spends time talking to you, learning about your needs and situation, and take the time to counsel as well as prescribe. She listens well.

Stay away. She gives a lot of drugs and wants cash. They she expects you to ask your insurance company to reimburse you. She is a total joke.

Dr. Mittenthal has been able to help me get my life back on track after many years of confusion and frustration. She has helped me to identify my issues and provided me with prescription medication that has allowed me to feel better able to cope with things in my life and the world in general.
