Dr. Marilyn Ruth Van Horn, MD

The first time I saw Dr VanHorn, I came into the office with my husband and she didn’t really acknowledge his presence. She questioned me about birth control and tried to pressure me into getting on the pill because condoms aren’t as effective. I told her that we were open to getting pregnant and asked her prescription prenatal vitamins. She questioned why I would want prescription because of the cost, but wrote the script anyway. I asked her about the possibility of getting prenatals without biotin because biotin gives me cystic acne. She asked me where I heard that and declared it wasn’t a thing and that biotin was critical for prenatals. Later we pick up the prescription and to my surprise there was no biotin in it. I scanned all of the ingredients multiple times, researched the prescription online, there was NO biotin. I had a follow-up appointment a month later for bloodwork. By this time I had actually gotten pregnant. When I told her the first thing she said was “Congrats! Are… you married??” I also told her that there was no biotin in the prenatals she prescribed me and she assured me that there was without even looking into the pills. This woman treated me like I was ignorant and irresponsible with my own health. She did not look into any of my concerns and wrote off my experiences as invalid. I would not recommend her to anyone who wants to treated with dignity and respect.

I woke up with an ear ache with PAIN. Contacted my regular doctor's office with Hague Assoc. but he was not available and his PA did not have any openings. (This is highly unusual. When I have an emergency, I can always see one of them before end of the day) However, the wonderful receptionist said she would check downstairs with Dr. Van Horn's office. They could see me mid-afternoon. Apparently Dr. Van Horn is also part of Hague Assoc. I never knew this and I've been with my regular doctor for 25 years. I was in an out of Dr. Van Horn's office in half an hour! And this included completing the check-in paperwork and paying. Everyone I encountered while in the office was pleasant, efficient, and expedient. I highly recommend Dr. Van Horn's office and Hague Assoc.

Courteous, professional, timely,, never feel rushed

We discussed my concerns and after only a couple visits I feel much better. She listens and responds, which is basic, but doesn't always happen with docs. I would highly recommend Dr Van Horn.

My experience is good so far with Dr. Van horn. Her bedside manner is good. Does'nt mind answering questions and explanes in a way that you understand. I would definitly recommend her.

Dr Vanhorn is a wonderful, careing person and I am so lucky to have her as my doctor. I am neither young or stupid and she treated me with the dignty and intelligence that so often is discounted in doctor visists... When your in the "biz" I suppose it is easy to forget that on the other side of that table there is a human being with issues and the complant may have nothing to do the the physical but just life. I suppose after awhile they just want to cut to the chase and know what the pacient needs without much of a conversation. Dr Van Horn takes her time and really seems to care what is going on. I really appricate her and her staff at the medical center.

I think Dr. Van Horn is great asset to the medical profession. I would strongly recommend her to everyone I know

Dr. Vanhorn is amazing! She seriously took the time to listen to my problems/issues and then definitely diagnosed them correctly. I feel better already! A great doctor and an even better person!

I was really impressed with the personal attention I recieved. I have seen many specialists over the years but noone has given as much thought or care to my health as Dr. Van Horn. I now take my whole family there, and she is great with kids.

I have been seeing this Dr. for months, very friendly but does not seem to have a clue when it comes to diagnosing my problems. I was told to call and update my status but no one has bothered to call back...very discouraging.
