Dr. Marilyn Mills Walkey, MD

Walkey has a bait and switch business model that lures in desperate, sick people for help and treatment. She is not transparent or honest about costs. She says she doesn’t charge for her time, but she is not up front about treatment being contingent upon purchasing grossly marked up products directly from her only. And when asked questions, she avoids, deflects, and/or gets defensive. Liars don’t like to be questioned. Walkey surrendered her medical and acupuncture licenses in Oregon as of 2020 and currently has practice limitation while under investigation due to complaints of fraud, misrepresentation, negligence, and unprofessional and dishonorable conduct. Walkey is running an unethical, predatory practice that exploits sick people. Don’t waste your time or money on this charlatan.

Marilyn Walked submitted false claims to my insurance. I called her multiple times and each time she argued with me saying she had treated me on those dates, which was not true. She also billed my insurance for treatments she didn't perform. I saw her twice - one initial visit and one follow-up. Then the insurance bills came in showing several visits and treatments for conditions I didn't have. This was not an accounting problem because she argued with me even when I explained that I was nowhere near her office on dates after that second visit. My feeling was that, had I not double-checked my insurance forms when they came in, Walkey would have kept the money and probably continued to bill my insurance as long as she could get away with it. She has no credibility as far as I'm concerned and is the last person I would go to for any health condition. Read her website - she talks about only taking patients with chronic conditions who have insurance so she can treat them for years.

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Walkey. She was rude, judgemental, expresses no empathy and was not available outside of appointments for questions. From our first phone call to set up an appointment, Dr. Walkey made me feel stupid and that all other treatment I’d received was worthless. She brushed off previous diagnoses I had by interrupting me to tell me that she does not consider them diagnoses. Then on our first appointment, she left me to sit and wait for her for 10 minutes after I’d finished a test to chat with someone right next to us, not even in the other room, and they were just chatting about niceties, not medical concerns. It was very unprofessional. Later, when I emailed her with a valid concern she brusquely answered me by saying she could not give medical help over email. She never bothered to say, I’m sorry you are not feeling well and it must be hard to feel bad while you travel. She did not say - I’m sorry, I can’t advise you over email but how about we… set up a zoom call (which I know is HIPPA) compliant. Overall, she had zero empathy and bedside manner in my opinion. I canceled my treatment with her after that as I don’t need to waste my time with someone who does not care about their patients.

I saw Marilyn Walkey two times. In those times questions I asked were dismissed with her stating “that’s for me to know that’s why I get paid the big bucks”. Her bedside manner is one of the worst I have experienced. She too hung up on me during a phone conversation once. It makes me sad that she would treat people in a most vulnerable position looking for help this way. I would not recommend her.

She's the whole package!

I recently relocated to Portland from upstate New York where I was blessed with the guidance of an Auyerveda doc ... I recently found Dr. Walkey and feel I am blessed again!! Her interest and knowledge in Eastern medicine is exactly what I was looking for. She asks the right questions to identify and treat the root cause ... I'm extremely happy to know her and feel her diagnosis and treatment has been spot on.... truly grateful I am!!

I am so thankful we found Dr. Walkey, she was the only doctor to correctly diagnose and treat my son for lyme disease. He was able to be off all other medication and improved with the homeopathic treatments she provided.

So far, Dr. Walkey has treated me successfully ... her bedside manner is great ... she listens attentively and chooses her method of treatment carefully. I'm grateful right now to have met her.

When I made contact with this lady(I will reserve the title 'Dr.' for true professionals), she told me I had 15 seconds to tell her what I needed. After giving the quickest description of the symptoms,I was immediately dismissed and then hung up on.

She was wonderful in treating both my husband & I during my husband's cancer treatments! I loved that she viewed treating the spouse of a cancer patient as important, as well as treating the patient, himself! Dr. Walkey is sensitive and knowledgeable and very helpful to assisting other to restore good health!
