Follow up. Clear directions for my health. Reasonable observation for future care

U can tell that she is told to spend minimal time with patients. Get ‘em in get ‘em out. I wanted to tell her about my flu from 2 days prior she didn’t care… I thought she would at least ask me if I was Covid tested or from the being dehydrated was I getting enough fluids. Lost 13 lbs but never noticed from last visit. In spring. I had poison ivy and just wanted a shot, and instead she gave me prednisone, which was fine it’s working. I just wish I could talk to her like I could with dr . Lazzarro. I only go here because it’s close to my home. In law last three visits she wants me to go for blood work and I say ok but she never asks or looks for the results from those. So I’ll go next spring to be approved for sertraline and I will get the same words at the end of my visit. Yes, go for blood work. What are u gonna do if I go? You don’t look at what the nurse wrote before u came in. U don’t know what my stats are? Didn’t look me in the eyes, ears . So sad.

I went there for a follow up appointment. Her nurses aid and Dr. Whitney both asked if I wanted the flu shot, I declined saying that I wanted to wait and see if the flu season would be a bad one, or just a flue season. Whitney didn't really seem to agree with my answer. Whitney checked my A1C and it was a little high, not double digits high. I explained our living situation and said it's hard to make good eating decisions when we don't have a home to call our own and able to fix good quality meals. I told her my A1C was at 7.4 before and that still was considered uncontrolled diabetes at my age. We try to make good decisions about our health choices, but constant put downs don't help.

I saw Dr Whitney this week. I appreciated her expertise and her knowledge. She cared about answering my questions and made sure that I understood. Will recommend Dr Whitney to others.

I went to see her because she's in the same office as Dr. Gladd, who is a super doctor but does integrative medicine mainly, so one needs a Family doctor in addition to Dr. Gladd. So I went to see her. The lady who aids her is incompetent. When she took down my medicines, she wrote down the wrong information concerning dosage. This is despite the fact that she had the bottles in front of her. This was terrible because the med she messed had the power of sending me to the hospital since the dosage was doubled. In addition to this, my big surprise came when I found out that she doesn't prescribe birth control to unmarried women. This was not clearly stated at the office, it is NOW in the website. I felt denigrated by a doctor who would discriminate against the use of birth control. I use discriminate since she is willing to prescribe it to married women. I understand not prescribing it period because of her religious beliefs, but choosing who to prescribe it is simply hypocritical.
