Dr. Marina Burstein, MD

Every time call for an appointment , it's three weeks waiting period. Plus we spend almost an hour or so in the waiting room to see a doctor, who is always in a hurry.

Not interest in well being of children. unethical doctor and unprofessional.

Excellent doctor, very down to earth, practical, attentive and nice.

I am very happy with my new pediatrician. She is very knowledgeable, caring and patient. Staff is also very nice. I highly recommend her to my friends.

Dr. Burnstein is terrible. She's very rude and looks down at you when you have questions. It's hard to talk to her because any question you may have seems like a joke. She wont listen when you talk; but rather interrupts without hearing the full story. I had to change doctors.

Have all THREE of our kids with Dr. Burstein since the day they were born. The oldest one is hitting the usual teenage personality changes, but the doctor's and office staff's patience and understanding make regular doctor's visits one of the less stressful things in our lives. The doctor is a wonderful clinician. Up-to-date on the latest literature, diagnostics, and therapeutics. The staff is always very helpful and courteous. Getting all sorts of paperwork (e.g. the silly immunization records for schools, summer camps, etc.) is a breeze. Because of the age differences, our kids usually have to attend different schools/kindergartens, they'd often catch a bug of some sort, only to pass it to the other two siblings within a week or two. When this happens (and it happens a lot)we have to call Dr. Burstein's office for urgent or emergent appointments. Yes, often we'd come in and the office is full of patients. And, yes, we have to wait for the doctor to get done with… her earlier patients before she gets to our kids. My wife and I perfectly understand the reason for it: Dr. Burstein takes all the time necessary to deal with each of the patients (and their parents) as she moves from one exam room to another. We wait knowing that once it is our turn, the doctor will take just as much time and just as much care with our children. I am puzzled at the complaints posted above. I guess it is difficult for some parents to understand that their kids are not the only ones on this planet and that the doctor has to take care of ALL her patients. On the other hand maybe someone did have an experience they did not like. All I can tell you is that Dr. Burstein took care of our kids throughout all sorts of emergencies, hospitalizations, and (once one of our kids got really really sick) an ICU (Intensive care Unit) admission. We feel truly fortunate that she is our doctor and would recommend her services highly to anyone in need of a competent, knowledgeable, and clinically astute pediatric clinician.

We have been patients of Dr. Burstein for over two years since our daughter was born and we are very thankful to her for her professional care, knowledge and experience. Whenever our daughter is sick we feel she is well taken care of, we totally trust our doctor and we know there is no reason to worry about anything. Dr. Burstein's ability to identify the problem and establish the right diagnosis is amazing, all the treatments she gave to our little one are very helpful and effective. We would highly recommend this doctor to any parent who have concern about their kids' health.

Facts: Made an appointment several weeks ahead of time for a medication check and physical examination for sports. Arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paper work. Two hours after our scheduled time we still had not seen the doctor. Instead, her nurse practitioner came in, went through the motions and then told us she couldn't help us with the medication issues - those had to be addressed with the doctor. THREE HOURS AFTER CHECK IN WE FINALLY SAW THE DOCTOR. We did not have a sports or school physical form. The doctor, Marina Burstein said, no problem just send it over when you need to and we will take care of it.We sent over one of the forms via fax. Dr. Marina Burstein's office then telephoned us to say they were charging us $15 for a copy of the record. When I told them the doctor said it would be taken care of and that she had not provided any copy whatsoever of the immunizations from the day Dr. Marina Burstein's office said they would speak to her. Dr. Marina Burstein's… office came back to me and said she told them she remember clearly and that there would be a charge of $15 for the one page as it is standard for all doctors.My response:This was never discussed or mentioned at our doctor's appointment. You have not provided any record to us (which is standard) of our child's immunizations received from your office and what you are saying is not true. Our last doctor actually sent us a full packet of doctor's records (100 pages) and didn't charge us a cent. I paid the $15 because Dr. Marina Burstein's office would not provide proof of the service she provided without receipt of the money. I also promised to post my experiene publicly and would never return again.I received then received the document from Dr. Marina Burstein's office and it was not filled out completely. There was not the detail that every other doctor my children have seen gave to immunizations. These details are requested in school forms. What was lacking from Dr. Marina Burstein's records was detailed information on WHAT was administered to my children including the lot, date, batch.This experience leaves me to not trust the services provided at the office of Dr. Marina Burstein. not MOT
