Dr. Marina Galea, MD

Her license should be revoked! Do NOT go to her

I have recommended several coworkers and family members, to Dr.Galea, All are satisfied with the level of service and no Complaints.

Wait time is atrocious. Be prepared to sit in the waiting room for at least an hour every visit. Only accepts cash. Dr. Galea is very cold and dismissive. After my initial visit I left in tears. Only writes prescriptions for one month at a time, so you have to physically travel to her office once every 30 days and also pay for the appointment, which lasts approximately 45 seconds. Won’t do refills electronically or over the phone.

Demanded a200.00 deposit which is not easy to get back. Disorganisesd.Lacks computer and unable to redo prescriptions.

This doctor's treatment of me was terrible. Her diagnosis was also incorrect. The medication doses were also incorrect. To top all this off, she stole my money when I decided to no longer see her. You have to pay her fee up front, I was due for a partial refund since my insurance covered this! Just a terribly immoral person. I hope her license is taken away!

She cares only about how many patients she can push in and out the door, laughing her way to the bank. She is cold, uncaring, and does not listen to what you have to say.

The Doctor is very patient and understanding and is always available as need it I'm very please been going to treatment for 8 years now I'm very satisfied.

Terrible experience. I went for advice and was instantly recommended a medicine that was advertised throughout the office. She did not provide a medics option or explanation of recommendation and I was rushed through the initial visit. I saw another doctor who recommended a therapist and no medicine. That was the best decision. I do not recommend Dr. Galina, and strongly recommend you receive a second opinion if she pushes medicine on you.

She acknowledged my son had problems which could be treated, however decided to pawn him off on someone else so she didn't have to see him beyond the first visit. His confidence level in getting help at an all time low.

I would agree with the reviews already done on this dr. receptionist sucks, forget asking her any questions regarding a billing problem, just tells you its denied, but has nothing in the file so that the issue can be addressed with insurance company. I called my insurance company its the drs office that did not bill it correctly. I do have coverage!!!! but this dr and her staff do not get it. That is why she wants the $$$ upfront before you see her no checks accepted? because if you overpay your fee and if she does not get reimbursed by the insurance company she dose not care... she already got your cash that more than covers her office fee! Make sure you can wait over 1 hour to see her bc its seems to be her policy..... make them wait.... make them wait..... I guess she must think the people have no other choice.... once you get a 2nd visit she will only give you meds for 1 month even though I have been on this medication for over 2 years and I always got at least 3 months worth of… refills from my prior dr...... but unfortunately I moved and its just to far to commute to go see him...... Looking for a new dr. Some people should not be drs or work in the healthcare field.
