Beware this fraudulent optometrist! I have sat through a number of eye exams with different doctors and this one is the shortest eye exam ever; it is not thorough and you are charged like it was a comprehensive eye exam. The office wait time is 30 minutes, then you get called into a room to check the front part of your eye with the slit lamp and then eye pressure with a machine that blows air into your eyes. The technician will then get the prescription of your current eyeglasses and move you to a second room to wait 20 minutes for the doctor. Dr. Mario Carcamo comes in and tests visual acuity by having you look into the phoropter and check refraction by having you read letters off the eye chart as any optometrist would do; the difference being Dr. Carcamo only has you read three lines before finishing up. Other optometrists would have made you read through two different eye charts to be more thorough. Not only that, he only changes the lenses and dials on the phoropter for about 3 to… 4 times before finalizing the visual acuity test. A good optometrist would've done at least 6. After that, the visit is over; all of what may be seven minutes. No side vision test, eye movement test, or pupil test; all of which comprises of a comprehensive eye exam according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. If you care about your eye health which is the reason you would come for an eye exam, don't see this doctor as you will just be wasting money.
