Dr. Mario Javier Pineda, MD

Dr. Pineda was very nice and answered questions but it was all very quick and not any kind of examination. The staff were more interested in talking with each other than any kindness or warmth to the patient . Front desk was uncaring and rude.

Dr. Pineda was my surgeon a week ago at Chandler Regional. In my first visit to him, he was so thorough, explaining everything that would happen during surgery, and then right before surgery came to talk again to see if we had any concerns or questions. After the surgery he spent a long time talking to my husband about everything he did. We were both so impressed with him and his office. They were constantly calling to remind me of things I needed to do and asking if I had any questions. He called me, personally, a week after my surgery to see how I was doing, to tell me the pathology was all benign, and to see if I had questions or needed anything. I was blown away. Many doctors don't do this anymore. I highly recommend this guy to any woman who is searching for the perfect surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Pineda!

If you just want a doctor who is an excellent surgeon and don't care how you are treated after the surgery in follow-up visits, you will like Dr. Pineda. I found him good at explaining my diagnosis for endometrial cancer and performing the surgery but dismissive and rushed in visits afterwards. I'm not sure what the problem was but I was treated impersonally and in a dismissive manner. After seeing other doctors after he left for another position, I found a huge difference. Although those doctors had not been my surgeons, but they always treated me warmly and with compassion. I was sorry I had not been treated by one of them for my surgery.

Horrible bedside manner. Those that gave him 5 stars must be phony reviews. He is so annoying as he sounds like a use car salesman who pushes surgery. Don't trust him.

Dr Pineda did my total hysterectomy and oopherectomy for my uterine cancer via robotic surgery. I had zero complications and was well prepped for surgery. I don't think I could have had a better outcome. Although I may have overwhelmed him with questions and information, he was a trooper and dealt with it all.

Does not go out of his way to make the patient feel they are individual. Rushes, keeps saying he has other patients, not interested in questions, his blanket answers.
