Dr. Mario Ignacio Quiros, MD

I found Dr. Quiros to be very unprofessional; he has a poor communication attitude. I definitely do not recommend him.

Terrible doctor. Terrible human. Took my 10 month old bc she was not breathing well in her sleep. He snickered with another doctor and said well how does she look to you? Excuse me???

I was seen by him today at the Mount Sinai Medical Center ER. I was in excruciating pain with an anal abscess that he diagnosed as simply as fissure due to . He sent me home with a cream and Tylenol. The nurses were also awful, cold and careless. I am not a doctor and I could tell there was something very wrong so I called a colorectal surgeon in the same hospital right there still in the ER. I begged for an appointment and was able to get one for two hours later. After being discharged from the ER I went to the surgeon who looked at it and said right away that this needs to be operated on or this will keep happening over and over and the pain will get worse. I’m getting surgery tomorrow. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism of Dr. Quiros who totally misdiagnosed me and sent me home to suffer with this unbearable pain. He is cold hearted and has no business being a doctor. I’ll be reporting him to every single board as things like this need to stop happening. We are people and… deserve to be treated with respect!!

This doctor is NOT PROFESSIONAL at all. I took my son for a tonsillectomy clearances. My son is 8 years old and has been getting streptococcus every year onces when to his joints, and that is very dangerous. The ENT approved the surgery and now this “doctor “ told me that he didnt think he should have the surgery that he was going to approve it but he didn’t think is was necessary. Giving me attitude and being very negative. The ENT send some blood work and this dr quiroz only preformed half of the blood work and i didnt know this . The day after the surgery the doctor’s office called me that half of the bloos work was missing that if I didn’t do it the surgery had to be canceled . Imagine inhad to runit was 4 pm and when i got to the pediatrician they gave me hard time to do it because it wasn’t going to be ready the following day because it needed it to be sent to quest . I wanted to died . I went thru a lot of stress just because this doctor didnt orde the correct blood work when it… was very clear in the order that i gave him from the ENT . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE . Im actually writing this review because i dont want other people to go thru what i went through . Its just now fair :(

INCOMPETENT, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL... My daughter hates this doctor and me too. I don't understand how this person has license because he doesn't like kids and people.

I took my daughter to him so he can refer her to a dermatologist (whoch took 5 minutes) and then asked if he could give her the physical because she needed one for school. We waited 2 hours and when he finally got to us he was in a bad mood and refused to give her the exam. He then asked me why my face looked like that and I said nothing. He proceded to practically scream at me and tell me that he could not do the exam and if I had a problem with that to speak to the manager. He continued to interrupt my daughter as she tried to explain to him that she leaves school at 8 pm every day and thats why she cant make another appointment. He hurried out the door and then we realized that it was almost lunch time and my daughter had been his last patient and he still rushed with her and was extremely rude.

Wonderful pediatrician, there is a bit of a wait but he really takes his time examining my kids and in providing good explanations to the parent. When I have had an emergency he has answered my calls quickly and also followed up.

My daughters have been patients of Dr. Quiros for over 12 years. He is a GREAT doctor, No one knows this more than me, when my child had a medical problem he went far beyond the call of duty to help us. When my child really neeed him he was there for her and our family. Thank you for your kindness. worth the wait

I was reccomended to Dr. Quiros by my OBGYN. He seemed nice, competent, and patient. Boy was I wrong. The appointments were never on time and I frequently heard yelling in the back. I think that yelling at staff is unprofessional, but I soon learned that he didn't only yell at the staff. One day I called to find myself being yelled at by the doctor, he said I was wasting his time. Apparently, asking the doctor how I should transition my son from formula to milk was a waste of time for him. I quickly found out that he wanted me to come in for a consult for every little thing... I know doctors need to make money, but I can't spend two or three hours at his office to have a question answered... especially when he's the one that told me to make the switch at 12 months, I was just following up on what he told me to do and someone on his staff could have gotten back to me. I have since found my son a new doctor. I just hope that all the other people who have experienced this Dr. Jeckyll and… Mr. Hyde routine will come forward and tell everyone what an unprofessional and ill mannered man he is.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS DOCTOR! I'm taking the time to post this review because it is so important for me to get this information out there so that parents do not take their children to him. He is the most unprofessional person I have ever come across and his staff is extremely incompetent. His office is dirty, his staff doesn't seem to be trained on cleanliness and cross contamination, wait time is long, doctor is always in a hurry and doesn't take the time to answer questions or explain things, never returns phone calls, he wants to only do things his way and does not take parents opinions into considerations, everyone in that office is rude and unprofessional, especially the doctor. There are so many other things wrong with this doctor, but these were some of the main issues. My biggest regret is not taking my child out of his care sooner. I hope this review is able to help parents make the right choice when choosing a pediatrician for their children, do your homework, try… to select a doctor that has good references, and read the reviews!!!
