My wife and child were in a car accident today and we need to go to the emergency room. Although we understand, there was a long wait in the emergency room. My wife waited 6 1/2 hours and was not seen, got to bed if this was a life and death situation, you would not pull through. The floor doctor the above mental doctor attended to my child discharge her told my wife to wait in the room. My wife had explained to her. She was in excruciating pain and all she was able to do was give her painkiller. In the meantime, because a lack of seating in the waiting room at the hospital, I went home and waited for my wife’s call. Finally she called and said get me out of here. They’re not seeing me. The doctor came in and she was abrupt and rude and I’d rather just come home in pain! I’m sure this doctor is under a great deal of stress, but bedside manner counts and honestly the doctors that I’ve seen have the same general lack of bedside manner. Talk to the emergency room, which we frequent… because of my child’s medical condition is constantly understaffed and fault with over 125 seats. This is healthcare in America today and is very sad, even after the promises of Obama care. This is what remains the primary issue with American healthcare. People use the emergency room for all kinds of things from acne to rats to sneezes and sniffles. It is a sad state of affairs!
