I always am heard and feel cared for when I see Doctor Rubio. I'd recommend her to anyone seeking an internist/family doctor

Thank God for Dr. Rubio! I came at a time when I needed immediate care. She listened to my every complaint and ask all the right questions! She was God sent! I truly believe she saved my life with her guidence, concern and care! She gave me all the right meds to get me up and going again and today I am a new person. I have so many nice things to say about her that this review would not hold them all! She truly cares about your well being and goes the extra mile to get you back to normal. Thank you Dr. Rubio! You were there when I needed not a good doctor but a GREAT doctor! You will be my doctor for life! God bless you!

After reading some of the other comments I know it's not just me. When I had my first visit with Dr Rubio she asked me about my health in general and any problems I was having. Good start I thought. However, after giving her two of my existing conditions, one being high cholesterol, she didn't want to hear about my allergies. To give you an idea, she said "that's enough for this visit". Nice. Later after bloodwork we had an ongoing debate about my blood sugar which was borderline. I brought her in articles I had read, one from the National Institute of Health. It stated that their studies showed a link between statin use and higher blood sugar. She dismissed the article saying she didn't put much stock in it. I then asked if we could just try to reduce the mg of dose for 90 days and then reevaluate. She said no. Is there any question why I wouldn't go back there? Also I agree with the other comments about her office not following up or returning calls.

Dr. Rubio is a warm, kind, caring, and thorough doctor! She takes the time to get to know who you are and exceeded my expectations! I would highly recommend Dr. Rubio!!

This Doctor has been my Doctor for awhile. Some of my medical issues, she seems concerned with, others such as Depression, she is very curt. I also am unhappy that she is very difficult to get an appointment now in the Crystal Lake office, as Algonquin office is very far due to traffic. Additionally, have left messages for obtaining RX refills, and you must only talk to her nurse, who does not call back.

I am impressed with this office. I have always been a fan of Fox Valley Internal Medicine. This office is definitely an asset to your practice.

I came in with a persistant cold/flu. The doctor asked a lot of thoughtful questions and listened intently while taking notes.I was very impressed with her care, her professionalism and her ability to connect with me in the short amount of time we met. Both my husband and I now use Dr. Rubio as our primary care physician.

I saw this doctor when I was very sick for over two weeks with symptoms of a bacterial infection. She asked me lots of questions and I mentioned I was a smoker (max. 4 a day). We also discussed my insurance and I was concerned about the bills. She ended up running tests for viruses A-Z including STDS! and put down "Excessive smoking disorder" on the lab tests submitted. My insurance ended up denying all the claims because of this and it will be on my records forever making it almost impossible to get insurance again. On top of that I NEVER got a phone call back on the diagnosis or lab results was charged $25 a month on her clinics bill for every month I didn't pay and when I called the billing department the lady was very very rude and brushed me off. She gave me a million excuses and I left so many messages on her ans machine which were never returned begging her to call me and explain. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to this place you will not get better only worse!
