Dr. Marissa Nienjia Tsao, MD

Dr. Tsao gave me my very first pelvic exam, and I went in knowing it wouldn’t be pleasant but the pain that I felt today was unbearable. I still have not had sex but was told I had to have an exam in order to refill my birth control for irregular periods. I told her this going in and she kind of looked at me as if I was lying and said she would try anyway. She also said that if it hurt too much she would stop, so I assumed that that’s what would happen, rightly so. However, when she was examining me it was extremely painful and i told her “I can’t do it” and she kept on pushing the speculum in, not caring to stop and let me gather myself first or even go slower. It was also around this time that I heard her say to the nurse something along the lines of, “Oh, she really hasn’t had sex” which confirmed that she indeed did not believe me when I had told her before the exam. Like I said I did not expect my first pelvic exam to be a basket of roses but I never expected it to be like this. I… came home and felt violated, nobody should have to go through an exam like that without being listened to.

Did not seem to care, rushed me, and pushed a drug I did not want, Did not ask any questions, just prescribed anything. I will not go back

My OB was not available to see me as fast as I wanted so seeing as I was in excruciating pain I settled to see Dr. Tsao. I suffer from PCOS and i was having multiple symptoms that something was horribly wrong. After my ultra sound she sat me down and basically said "everything looks fine" i told her something was not right because i could feel something pulling and lots of pain down there and she called it "ovulation" or "hemorrhagic ovarian cyst" and she walked away leaving me with words in my mouth and unanswered questions. I didn't know she was finished talking to the point where she walked out of the room mumbled something walked off and i figured she will be back to finish the conversation but instead she came back and said "are you going to follow me out?" i told her i wasn't finished she continue walking and said we will send your prescription (birth control) to the pharmacy thank you without asking what pharmacy and giving me my follow up appointment. Of course i made sure to… let her know that i was clearly not satisfied with her service or her staff i had her answer more of my questions send my prescription to my preferred pharmacy and i was still not content with her service she didn't make me feel relieved or sure of what was wrong with me and not to mention she screamed across the waiting room to her assistant to give me my urine results and her assistant literally yelled "its normal" across the room to her. This Dr. is so unprofessional, she doesn't even look old enough to be in practice for the ten years she claims to be. DO NOT RECCOMEND SEEING HER OR DEALING WITH HER STAFF.

Great team. Dr. Tsao rocks. Takes her time to explain everything and listens to all your concerns. Did not feel rushed at all.

She's great, she's very professional, and makes you feel comfortable . I would definitely recommend her .

was an absolutely great fortune to meet Dr. Tsao. Me and my husband tried to find a doctor by coming to the US with 30 weeks of twins. It was difficult to make an appointment with a good doctor. Because I am a high risky pregnant woman. Finally we found her! She and her staffs were very friendly. She checked me and my boys condition with deliberation and decided to help my childbirth without hesitation. Her review on the internet was really good. After giving birth, I knew the reason exactly. I met her at 30 weeks and suddenly the amniotic fluid burst in 32 weeks. On Friday night, suddenly the amniotic fluid burst, Dr.Tsao came and called me a Korean nurse who could help me. I was very nervous, and with her help, I was able to give birth safely. In general, doctors recommend a C- section when giving birth to twins. But she helped me give birth to a babies by natural labor. Also she gave me a Coca - cola with my… surname when I was struggling with labor. So I was able to laugh. And when babies were at NICU, she also monitored my babies condition. Now all of the babies are discharged from the hospital. I was forced to find a new gynecologist because my doctor of 15 years stopped taking my insurance. I am very pleased with Dr. Tsao, she listens and takes her time with me. I also had an experience when I needed to come in for an emergency issue and she got me right in and took care of my problem. Highly recommend her. I just hope she doesn't get so many patients that she gets overwhelmed.

Dr.Tsao is a great listener when it comes to understanding what you want and or need. She has been my OB for the past 4 months. She explains things and makes sure you understand before you leave. Her office staff is amazing, they are all very friendly i have never had any issues with them.

I have only seen a few OBGYNs and I always get nervous because I don't know what to expect. From the second I walked in the door, I felt super welcome by the helpful front desk girl Angie. The nurse Wendy is always super friendly and makes me feel at ease. Dr. Tsao has a great bedside manner is very understanding. You can tell she really cares. I highly recommend Dr. Marissa Tsao.

I loved them, it was my first time and i was looking for a new doctor.. i found her!
