I would recommend this doctor any day of the week. Very caring and knowledgeable. Provides very efficiency and timely care to patients. Staff is very kind.

I had a terrible experience with his office staff. I hold excellent insurance through Blue CrossBlue Shield and they refused to verify my insurance to welcome me as a new patient. I responded that if they could not even verify if they accepted full coverage Blue Cross insurance then I would call another doctor to which the office responded "Ok" cutting me off and hanging up on me. The staff was outrageously rude. If you care about your office visit interaction whatsoever, go elsewhere. Appalling behavior.

I have had many experiences with this doctor. He was even a friend of mine. Because of that, I overlooked alot of the mistakes he would make when treating me over the years. Mistakes like almost giving me a medication that I was allergic too twice. (He was the one who found out that I was allergic to it and still almost gave it to me). His terrible advice about basically toughening up instead of taking antidepressants. His office over charging me. But the worst was when I set up an appointment with him because I was having bad headache pain. On my visit, all he did was take my blood pressure, called my neurologist and pushed me out the door saying that he would call me later that day to tell me what to do, only for his nurse to call me 3 hours after he was supposed to and tell me to call my neurologist instead. When I asked her if I could talk to Mcfarland, she told me that he wasnt there. (it was the middle of the day and he doesnt close until the evening). I asked for… something for the pain, but the nurse said that they can't prescribe anything over the phone and to make an appointment. He was a friend of my family who I trusted and he treated me terribly. I will NEVER go back to this "doctor" again.

Dr. McFarland has an amazing ability to connect with ALL of his patients. Regardless of their race ethnicity or creed. His patients all love him, and he has a wonderful home life as well. All in all he is the best doctor I have ever had the privledge of visiting!!!
