He is great!! He found my colon cancer did my resection and saved my life . He is a really cool guy and don’t believe the banter below. He doesn’t sugar coat it and tbh why would you want a doctor to sugar coat anything. If he can do a right side resection with a Robotic Arm and do it well … then he really should be arrogant cause that’s a genius!

Very impressed with Dr Birdsong and his office personnel… knowledgeable and professional, I trust his opinion and care..

If I could give him a Zero I would! Arrogant! Was an hour late to surgery, never apologized. Initially told my husband his hemorrhoid surgery was no big deal, 5 day recovery. Recovery was 5 weeks, horrible pain!!! My poor husband still, 2 years later, has a bulging hemorrhoid on the outside from the surgery! I wouldn't recommend him to carve a ham! He's a hack! Also seems to be running on 'high octane' all the time...too much caffeine or something!

He did my daughter’s surgery. He was rude and arrogant as if any question for him was a waste of his time. He spent so little time with us prior to surgery or after surgery that I couldn’t even identify him in a line up if I had to. He didn’t care about the patient’s pain or anything. We were told he “was doing us a favor” by squeezing her surgery in. His staff is just as bad. Called to set up a post op appt and was give. The third degree about my daughter’s last name being different than mine even though my name is all over her paper work etc. I’d take her to a veterinarian for a post op before I set foot in that office or dealt with him or his staff again.

The rudest dr on this planet. There is something wrong with a dr that tells his patient after operation “you should hurt “ it should have been out 40 years ago ! I said softly this really hurts. He replied “ man up “. I’m a senior female He said yeah and it’s going to hurt a lot more ! Next day he striped my drainage tube maliciously and I said that hurts his reply yeah and I’m doing it again tomorrow. I kid you not!!! This I’m sure will not be online but I sure would like to discourage anyone going to him. Seriously evil man!!!

We were very pleased with both the pre-op visit, where he took all the time needed to explain the procedure and answer any questions, and the surgery itself. After the surgery he came out to me in the waiting room, explained everything again and made sure I didn't have any questions. We were extremely pleased.

Proceeded to tell my husband he was going to die anyway so having the procedure would not be worth it.

Do not have a negative thing to say. We would recommend Dr Birdsong to anyone and feel very fortunate that he was on call when we needed the best. He has continued to be there for us and continues to be the best!

Dr. Birdsong was the best surgeon we could have had. He called in consults when needed and ensured the very complex proceedure had only the best surgeons involved, ensuring maximum safety for his patient. He was at our side through an extended ICU stay, involed family in all decisions and educated us through the recovery process. He is the only surgeon I will ever recommend.

My mother couldn't live because of his delay in showing up and avoidance to take her to operating room because it was night before thanks giving!!
