Dr. Mark B Blick, DO

I been a patient with Blick for over 25 years.

Dr. Blick is a fine Doctor and individual. He listens very closely to what your concerns are medically, asks questions, orders only necessary testing. He gets extremely concerned about high blood pressure. I always leave an appointment with Dr. Blick, feeling that he truly cares about my wellbeing.

I was a long-term patient of Doctor Blick's for over 15 years and during the past few years, he has been out of touch with me as a patient. He put me on multiple medications that should have only been taken in the interim. Instead, I was on them for YEARS without him checking on me as to whether these meds should be taken for that long. I finally confronted him about it after telling him that I discontinued all of them and found a homeopathic alternative for one of them. He became visibly nervous, and the absence of any reasonable or logic answer as to why this happened made me wonder what kind of incentive he gets from pharmaceutical companies to keep patients indefinitely on their medications. It's unconscionable not to follow up on a patient for whom you subscribed all of these medications. Earlier in 2013, when I found another PCP and requested that my records be made available to my new doctor, I am being told by Darlene, his medical assistant, that they would… charge me $35 for my records. Did I mention the sometimes super-long wait times? And the fact that well-woman exams and annual physicals cannot be scheduled on the same day, so you have to come back twice if you want both things done. I don't know about other patients, but I have professional obligations and not a lot of time to go back to the doctor's office twice for something that could be taking care of in one vivit like my new doctor is currently doing. To this time, I'm still waiting to get y records to my new doctor. I started the process almost 8 months ago.

Dr. Blick has enough experience to be concise in his diagnosis but is also open to new medical advances. He has an excellent caring manner and really understands his patients.

This office is truly a diamond...Dr Blick and his staff are so far above some of the more well known names in very upscale practices. His office is upscale without the attitude. Dr. Blick himself is very knowledgeable and takes time to really deal with an issue. Further he is very computer literate...and makes detailed notes.

Both my wife and I have been patients of Dr Blick for over 25 years. Even though he has moved several times and now is the other side of the town from us, we still will always go to Mark Blick.Yes, he seems like a person whom I can call by his first name, and still show respect for him. He has never dissapointed either my wife or myself, he is the expert. We will go to Dr Blick as long as he is there, and I am still alive.The front office staff does have an attitude and can be a little rude. Most of the time though I can talk them into listening to me, and I would rate them a B+. I have found Anita to be first class and always has been very polite, and I have nothing negative to say about her.

I've been a patient of Dr. Blick for over 12 years. The number one reason I continue to see him is because he truly partners with me in my health care. I'm not your typical patient in the since that I see my PCP and "follow doctors orders" exclusively. I see health as a proactive, well-care experience therefore I do what it takes to stay healthy. When I visit Dr. Blick, its to assist me in diagnosis and he gives me his professional recommendation. Because I'm much attuned to my body which makes me extremely sensitive to medications, he listens to my concerns and comes up with a plan especially for me. After which I sometimes decide to take a natural or homeopathic approach, but whatever I decide, Dr. Blick ALWAYS respects my decision and invites me to see him again if my condition does not resolve with my own options. Several times I've come back to his office to tweak a diagnosis or medication and every time he personally visited with me and address all my concerns. In my personal… experience, Dr. Blick is an exceptional doctor and a caring person. He truly loves what he does and its expressed in his work ethic. His bedside manner is remarkable and sets the bar for PCPs everywhere.

Dr. Blick was one of the most informative, kind, and helpful physician I have ever been to in my life. He is a physician that I would recommend to all of my friends and family. That being said, the staff at his office was not good at all. His personal MA (Anita) was helpful and kind, but otherwise I was very upset. The front desk acts like you are an inconvenience to them and do not treat you very well. It is also incredibly difficult to get help over the phone line.

Dr. Blick was recommended to me by a very close trusting friend. I found every good thing told to me about him to be true. However, I didn't get feedback on his medical staff who I found to be incompetent, impossible to communicate with, failure to handle referrals, failure to return phone calls, failure to follow-up on making certain patient is receiving what the dr ordered to get done with regards to test, failure to communicate effectively with hospital I was referred to for tests. This staff shifts and looks for excuses instead of resolving problem to get the patient's needs met. This staff, in my opinion, just looks for excuses and does not do their job. I found this staff to circumvent the issue by managing to get around their responsibility of processing the dr. request. I have never encountered a medical staff such as this who feels compelled to make a patient wait in severe pain for 72 hours before they would process a referral even after the insurance has confirmed the pcp… must submit a referral or the patient will be out of network...something they already know and that can be done in a few hours. This was ridiculous. It was impossible to get the office manager to return a phone call as well.
