Dr. Boiskin joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group in 1999. He practices in the La Jolla, Poway and Encinitas area; specializing in kidney diseases which includes hemodialysis patients at both FMC and DaVita Dialysis units. He is also actively involved in research with Balboa Research.

Dr. Boiskin attended medical school at the University of Stellenbosch Medical School in South Africa where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. After completing his residency at the University of Alberta in Canada, he completed his fellowship training at the University of California San Diego.

With 13 years diagnosed with Chronic Disease— in my 40’s, I have been lucky to be under Dr. Boiskin’s care for the last 1 and 1/2 years because of moving to San Diego. He is up to date, going over labs and kidney special factors w nutrition/ diet to support kidney lab numbers. He has really educated me a lot beyond other kidney doctors in other states. He’s patient, observant, up to date, listens and truly educates. Highly recommend!

Today was my first appointment with Dr.Boiskin, my first impression is excellent- very knowledgeable and easy to talk to specialist! I strongly believe I am in good hands...

After kaiser operated on me in 2004, I was not only blessed with incontinentcy but also a urinary track infection every 2 weeks. I could not feel the infection, I just get this funny smell. If it was missed, it would go into the Kidneys and I get full blown kidney infections until I finally was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. This is where Doctor Boiskin came in. After evaluating the situation, he but me on a medication that wiped out my urinary track infections, something that many Doctors over eight years could not do. In mu opinion, Dr. Boiskin is a Ggenius.

Dr. Boiskin is my son's nephrologist. I cannot say enough good things about him! My son has autism and doesn't speak, and Dr. Boiskin treats both my son and me with the utmost respect and caring. We feel blessed to have him as our son's doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Boiskin for 4 years. The wait time is minimal, I have never had a problem getting in for an appointment or getting necessary rx refills. Dr. Boiskin and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I highly recommend.
