He received his dental training at the Medical College of Georgia.  After graduation, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.  In 1981, he returned to the Medical College of Georgia to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency.  He has practiced in Pensacola with Dr. Rawson since 1984. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986.  Dr. Braxton is married and has three children.  He spends his leisure time with his family and friends, fishing and boating!
