Dr. Cannon has been practicing pediatric dentistry for more than 25 years and still appreciates the privilege of watching his young patients grow from early childhood to young adulthood.
He is deeply committed to offering the best possible dental care and adhering to the highest professional standards, while providing a fun, nurturing experience.
Dr. Cannon and his wife, Susan, have five children. They mostly spend their spare time with the kids and their activities. Between piano lessons, drum instruction, art, Spanish, dance, basketball, baseball, soccer, karate, band, and ice skating, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of time left over. Dr. Cannon is a graduate of Northwestern University and is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Dentistry at Northwestern University Medical School. He is also an …attending physician at Children's Memorial Hospital, and is actively involved in the specialty training of Pediatric Dentists at the Children's Memorial Medical Center.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Material, former President of the Illinois Society of Dentistry for Children, and a recipient of the Governor's Award for treatment of the disabled patient.
He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, International Association of Dental Research, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Because of his knowledge and expertise in the field of pediatric dentistry, he is a requested guest lecturer at dental society meetings and universities worldwide. Dr. Cannon is involved in numerous dental organizations which promote research, education, prevention and treatment of dental diseases.
