Great person and physician!

I came to see Dr Cedar as a 2nd opinion since my GI Dr left town. Though I was relatively young, I was diagnosed with liver disease and early cirrhosis due to Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. This is extremely common. He reviewed all of my old records, labs, imaging and procedures. He examined me and told me he needed to order a few additional labs to make sure no stones were left unturned in the diagnosis. He then told me with this particular disease it was imperative that I lose weight and I originally protested; though I weighed 250 at 5’7”, I had tried to lose wt many times before and was never successful. I was convinced this was just my body type and I left his office unsure. He outlined a healthy and gradual plan for me and encouraged me that I could do it. I returned in 3 months weighing 30 lbs less and feeling great. A year later I was down to 170 and felt and looked incredible! I ran the half marathon. More important, all of my liver testing completely normalized… and my liver is now healthy. It’s now 2 years later and I’ve kept the weight off. I know that was a tough thing to tell someone they needed to lose weight but it was the right thing and it saved my life!

Dr. Cedar is one of the best Doctors I've ever experienced. He is very knowledgeable and has great patient skills. He makes you feel comfortable knowing you are in good hand.

From scheduling screening colonoscopy to getting results staff was professional, caring and knowledgeable. Nurses, Sandy and Pat, were friendly and helped me feel comfortable. CRNA Shawn was great. Dr. Cedar is very skilled and did an excellent job.

If you have been seen by a physician who only half listens to you and immediately reaches for a prescription pad to "solve" your problem, you will be pleasantly surprised when you visit Mark Cedar. He gives his full attention and answers all of your questions. His diagnostic skills are excellent as well. Great guy!
