Dr. Mark Judson Cooper, MD

I received a call from Dr. M. Cooper office saying he wanted to see me the following day due to him just recieving my file from my thyroid specialist that I had surgery in tampa. I went to the office they then informed i did not have an appointment and after the receptionist argued about someone never calling me to even come in the first place even though i showed her on my phone the call log calling me she then tells me she sees a note where dr. Cooper canceled it bc he changed his mind he no longer wants to see me. I then stated I am running a fever and shaking I really need to be seen. Finally nurse Eric comes out being very rude. Does NOT take my temperature do NOT do any vitals and just berating me for even being in their office since I used my second opinion I should go back to Tampa and get help. I told him I went for a second opinion and they found a growth almost 6 times bigger than the one they found. He cut me off and started yelling at m e that they didn't miss nothing. I… then opened the folder my surgeon gave me to bring with me that I had already tried to give him but he refused to even look at it to understand. When I pulled the pictures out he then stated that I cant prove those growths were cut from my body. Then continued to yell and be aggressive with me so I opened the door and asked the female nurse to please remove him take his place or just get my doctor. Eric Then tried to snitch my pictures and personal folder put of my hands i was literally having to wrestle with him to keep him from taking my belongings. Then the female nurse told me I was the issue bc I didn't have an appointment. I said I was waiting for my doctor bc he needs to know what just happened as well as I need medical treatment which Eric denied me. Then dr cooper comes in slams the door and ask why I did not continue to wait to go see his ent another month after my specialist cured me. He said that if i didn't want to use his suggested ent over thyroid specialist to remove my thyroid then he would not treat me. I again tried to explain that they had missed a hugggggeeeee growth that had to be removed bc it was imposing on my breathing. Dr. Cooper then started yelling at me saying they didn't miss anything that I cant prove where those pictures are actually from. I asked if he received the report from. My surgeon he then got mad slammed door again. I waited hoping he would come back apologize and be professional and take my tempature and help me. Instead he berated and belittled me for not using the doctor in his circle. I pleaded one last time to please help me and to stop denying me medical help bc he was ny doctor for almost the last 10 years but what he did instead was leaned in looked at it said yep its infected so go to Tampa and get your antibiotics. I have never been treated so horribly by doctor and his nurse/bouncer. I will be looking into my entire medical history with your company now. I will also be seeking legal advice. I did end up in Niceville er after Dr. Mark Cooper DENIED me medical care. I was having a severe allergic reaction possibly due to my cat. Dr. Mark Cooper put his pride ahead of my medical care. He swore an oath that he completely disregard. Thank god niceville hospital actually cares about their patients.

Pays very close attention to what the patient is saying, with a great response to follow-up care.

Having moved here some 10 yrs ago from Michigan, my husband and I took the advice of a co-worker and selected Dr. Cooper as our PCP. It has been a professional and personal experience having him care for both of us. He is the best listener and offers very easy to understand explanations for our treatment.

One of the best Doctor's I have known. Staff is great and always greets you with a nice smile.

Best family doctor I've ever had. I would say disregard those who have rated him poorly. For instance, someone who says Dr. Cooper has poor communitcation skills? I would suggest that person is more than likely an uncooperative extremely demanding patient. My entire immediate family (wife and teenager), as well as my mother, father, brother and sister have been using Dr. Cooper for years. We are all in agreement he is competent, compasionate, caring, and a superb listener. He never rushes our visits. Great Doctor and excellent staff.

Dr. Cooper is an excellent doctor. He is caring, listens and compassionate. He doesn't do needless tests and there is a feeling of comfort with him. The only complaint I have is that he is busy and it is sometimes hard to get to see him. He will though, look at your needs and recommend them fitting you in if need be. I am happy I am his patient and I have many other doctors I work with and he doesnt' mind that at all. Highly recommend.

I am very skeptical about doctors, but not this one. I became a patient of Dr. Cooper's when he opened his office in Crestview. Of course I had to question him about a lot of things. He listened and answered my questions, all the while with a calm demeanor and understanding smile. Over the years, my appreciation for him has grown and grown. He has become my all-time favorite doctor. Even when he has had to give me news that I may not have always wanted to hear, I TRUST him. Trust is not something I have always had when it comes to doctors. But, Dr. Cooper is someone that I can honestly say that "I trust him with my life". He has helped me with medication management. Made me want to get my diabetes under control and listened to me cry when he gave me the diagnosis. I have and will continue to recommend Dr.Cooper to family and friends. He's a wonderful doctor and human being.

If you are proactive with your health care then this doctor is not for you. If you take your health for face value by anyone with a medical degree then he may be the doc for you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cooper's for quite some time now and he has consistently proven his thoroughness, caring, and understanding as much as his knowledge of a variety of problems. His office never hesitates to do their best to work me into his schedule for urgent matters. Dr Cooper has given up his lunch to treat me. My allergist was worried that Dr. Cooper would feel that the allergy doctor was "stepping on his toes" when treating me and making life style recommendations, but Dr. Cooper said he highly respected the allergy doctor and had absolutely no problem with me going for second opinions. I highly recommend him.

Great all around dr. Listens to you, explains what needs to be done and gets you scheduled for what you need!!!!
