I have been an RN working on medical surgical floors since 1987. I have work experience with many doctors, and across the board, I have loved and respected almost all of them. Dr. Cooper did surgery on my mother and she died 24 days later. Her death was ONLY from her existing illness, NOT Dr. Cooper's care. However, he was so downright rude, dismissive, and very harsh in Mom's post-op care as well as his treatment (ignoring) of our family and also the hospital staff. I saw this for 10 days. His rough PHYSICAL care of my mom seemed flat-out abusive the way he pushed and moved her and literally showed such disregard for her modesty and dignity. He never looked at her surgical site until the 10th day when he roughly removed her chest tubes without even explaining nor talking with her. She was an obvious terminal cancer patient, as he well knew, but he showed NO compassion. The staff seemed to indicate that this was not unexpected treatment from him. I GREATLY regret he was ever… in the same room with my dying mother! My mother just couldn't understand why anyone would be in the medical profession yet teat patients that way. She felt hurt and disrespected. I just regret that I ever heard his name.

The Lord put this surgeon in my path for a reason, very good doctor.

Dr. Cooper explained in detail what to expect when I had surgery. He never seemed rushed and always took time to answer questions. He went out of his way to get a diagnosis for my rare condition.

Went to the emergency room needing emergency surgery. Unfortunately, this was the physician on call. His delay in performing surgery caused a near death, critical care, prolonged hospital stay, $370,000 in medical bills and profound stress for family. What should have been a routine procedure turned into a nightmare for our family. NEVER USE THIS DOCOTR.
