Dr. Mark Allister Coppes, MD

I’ve known Dr Coppes for many years. I have worked with him on other patients & respect his compassion, sensitivity & appropriateness with each. As my own surgeon I cannot recommend him highly enough. He has done several procedures & surgeries on me all with a minimum of fuss & travail. I walked out of the hospital after most. I had 1 complication but he dealt with it competently & professionally. I highly recommend him for anyone contemplating knee surgeries.

He was rude and did not diagnose my problem correctly. I would never return to him or recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Coppes not only replaced my knee but treated me for a compound fracture of my ankle that included the shattering of the same ankle requiring surgery. I could not say enough about his care both in the hospital and with follow up visits. I would travel anywhere in RI to choose him as my doctor.

He has been helpful in suggesting PT as an alternative to surgery which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Coppers will not pull punches with you. He tells the story exactly as it is. He's a fabulous surgeon and will spend the time with you that you need.

He saw me in the hospital after a serious fall that resulted in a multiple fracture of my arm requiring surgery. He eventually sent me home from the hospital without surgery claiming he didn't have the "part" expecting me to wait for almost a week in terrible pain. He was rude to my family and showed me no respect or concern. Thankfully I found a wonderful surgeon that made all the difference.

I called regarding assistance with pain mgt. after surgery. He was short and rude. He hung-up the telephone on me. I don't recommend using his services to anyone.

I have been with Dr. Coppes for 10 years for various orthopedic problems and he is the best. He calls back, he follows up, he explains things and he is a good surgeon. I am able to work (and walk) today because of him.
