Dr. Mark Edward Davanzo, MD

While Dr. Davanzo is a good surgeon you must be cautious in using him as a surgeon because of his billing practices. The doctor bills under one tin for office visits and another for the actual surgery. Unfortunately if you have an emergency surgery through the ER you may not have an option to not use this provider. Make certain before choosing Dr. Davanzo that he is under your insurance with his name and the billing name of Acute Care Surgeons otherwise you will be paying the majority of surgery costs.

Watch out for this guy. He bills under an LLC that is not in most medical plans. His collection staff is extremely aggressive. You end up paying twice what you would for a doctor in your medical plan. What's worse, he performs emergency procedures, when patients are at their most vulnerable. Mt. Carmel St. Ann's in not interested in hearing about his bait-and-switch tactics.

This place is like a zoo. I had a 1 o'clock appoint and so do 30 others at the same time. Crowded and nosy stay away
