Dr. Mark Laurence Defazio, MD

Old office, waiting room looks like my great grandmothers basement. Avoid this Dr & find a compassionate person for the most important time of your life. I Regret not transferring to a different OB in the beginning of my high risk pregnancy. The answers I received from him regarding questions concerning my tests were short & non specific like him telling me they were "OK". Not cool. His dry personality should have been the 1st sign. Sadly it's too late for me, but trust me when I say PLEASE find another doctor. The damage has already been done to my child.

This was my first time there. Waiting room clean. Exam room had dusty hanging wires n seemed unkempt. My feet on the exam table were literally 2 feet from the sink holding 4-5 other internal vaginal clamps from previous patients n they weren't soaking. That was nauseating as I worked for doctors whose office were cleaner. I will not return.

Dr. Mark is a wonderful ob/gyn. He spends as much time with you as you need to answer questions. Yes, he can be abrupt at times when you ask him certain questions, but I want a doctor who is honest and doesn't beat around the bush so I don't mind. I have been going to Dr. Mark for 6 years and have never had an issue with him. In fact he was one of the few doctors who actually listened to me and treated my endometriosis correctly. I am now having my first child and he has been great through the entire pregnancy. He answers my questions, he explains all procedures, and puts your mind at ease. I refer him all the time and I respect him as a doctor.

Dr Mark has the personality equivalent to that of a wet mop. He had me scheduled for induction & I had gone into labor earlier than scheduled. He didn't show up until the next morning after I had to have an emergency c-section. Find someone who cares. I don't care how long the practice has been around, he falls short in comparison to his father. When you sit with him after the visit he usually puts his head down so you're speaking to the top of his head. Or he rudely takes calls from other patients.

The Defazio brothers are first rate. I found them after had been through a devastating experience of losing a baby suddenly at 20 weeks gestation. At that time I was going to another (incompetent) female doctor who had excellent bed side manner though her clinical skills left much to be desired!! I should have been followed by a perinatologist but she continued to say "everything is fine honey." Nevertheless, I went to Dr. Mark and Dr. Greg for next pregnancy and my experience was 100% better!! You can keep bedside manner. I want a competent, well trained doctor. Thank you Dr. Defazio!!

Had a hard time finding a doctor that take medicaid, as I am on for a short time. Was referred to this office by someone, and I must say I was quite impressed by the whole 3 brothers who are MD's and the sons of an MD. However I must say Dr Mark Defazio has no bed side manner and he just made me feel out of place as a patient. I was only there for an annual but I'm not even sure he ran all the test, as no urine sample was taken. Also I called and was told it take 7 to 10 business days to get results of a pap. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!!! It just wasn't a pleasant experience and upon going back on my private insurance I will be running to redo my annual unfortunately. Save your time and find a real doctor.

Delivered my 2nd son, great csection, expecting a great recovery as what happened with my first son born in 2008. Barely notice any scar, he even got rid of my first scar when delivering my second. I was able to get my stomach flat after my first csection in 2008. Can't ask for a better doctor and surgeon. I found him to be very caring.

Dr. Mark and his brothers delivered all three our my children and they and their father delivered SIXTEEN of the children in our friend's family/extended family. THAT is a testament to the loyalty and confidence my family and I have to Dr. Mark and his brothers. I am a nurse and he never disappointed me in his professionalism, and bedside manner. He is honest. He doesn't beat around the bush. But you don't want that in an OB. You want some one who will listen and tell you honestly. Someone you can really feel comfortable with during your pregnancy and the birth if your child. I have moved but still go to Dr. Mark. He is worth the drive!

The birth of my son in 2008 was such a great experience. I had an an excellent c-section with a great recovery. I am pregnant again and although I moved, I travel to see him and wouldn't want anyone else as my doctor. I always have a ton of questions and he answers all of them with patience. Highly recommend.

He is every bit a cold fish as others have described! Had A High risk pregnancy should have switched after the 1st time he didnt give me results from my tests at my appointment. He has no bedside manner & after going into labor wit my baby he dint show up at the hospital till the next morning! had to have an emergency C-section baby wasin distress! His brother delivered the baby & let me tell you, my child is delayed & I should sue him! STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!!
