Dr. Mark Diamond, DO

Seen this doctor as my Hospitalist at Palos Hospital. He didn't even look at my medical records and why I was in the hospital. He tells me I would be getting out of the hospital that day or the next. I knew differently, as my surgeon told me I had to have surgery. Not very good bedside manner either.

I don't know what everybody else here is talking about. I had an excellent experience with Dr Diamond. His bedside manner is not typical, but I found him funny and intellectually engaging when he had time. Sometimes people think they know what is best for their loved ones, and when things don't go well, they blame the doctor. I assure you that I never doubted Dr Diamond's competence or devotion to patient care.

Dr. Diamond is not very well-versed in patient care. He does not have good bedside manner. And according to my nurses, he doesn’t write good patient notes in charts...very vague.

This doctor is a very poor one. He was assigned to treat our mother as the so called hospitalist at Palos hospital and he then managed a bit then went on vacation. He failed to coordinate the treatment and the other Doctors. We felt like it was totally mismanaged as we the family we giving advise that he et al disagreed with, then later agreeing. When he returned from vacation, he pick up the dropped balls and attempted to help. Less than 12 hours after telling us he thought she was doing ok, he then calls us and states he “thinks” our Mother is dying. Further advising that he privately advised our mother of this. When we challenged him on his so-called thinking and why he approached our Mother who was medicated, he then hung up the phone. We scrambled and removed our mother from his care and the hospital and moved her to the University of Chicago where she is getting proper treatment. We are considering legal action against this bad Doctor. Please run far when this… name ever comes up.
