Dr. Diercks is knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and personable. Very thankful for him and his expertise.

I do believe that Dr Dierks is a caring, personable physician. However, my treatment plan (or lack of) almost ended disastrously. I believe negligence or inattentiveness on his part could have easily led to my demise. I came to him in a very weak period of my life, and left his care in the same, if not worse, situation. It has been approximately 2 1/2 years since that experience, and it is carried with me always. When I would meet with him, I thought him to be a physician that one could feel comfortable talking to; no talking down to you or disregard for your opinions. But in spite of liking his personality, I am totally disappointed in his nonchalance , indifference to my hospitalization. Although the intention of finding a new course of treatment was logical and welcomed, abrupt withdrawal of all my medication at once was absolutely not the way to do it. I learned, from that painful experience, just how important it is to follow your instinct if you feel something is not… right. Or at least learn about options, get a second opinion, anything to educate yourself about what is being proposed, and how it may affect you. I instinctively felt that his approach was wrong, but did not question his decision or even share my concerns. So there is some fault on my part also. Would I recommend him? Yes, for some things. But I will never be his patient again. It cost me too much in emotional, physical and relationship areas.
