REAL BAD......KINDA DUMB ALSO

I thought Dr. Dowell was a great doctor until I complained that one of his partners had been very rude to me. After that he and all his staff were rude. I had never experienced rude treatment from any physician or staff member until I started seeing doctors in this group. I would prefer never to be treated that way again.

After a near death experience, my husband was supposed to have several weeks of IV treatments. We did not have insurance and were given the option of Dowell's office (at 660.00per day) or the hospital (at 2100.00 per day). We would have liked to take the less expensive route, but Dr Dowell's office told us it would have to be cash up front for the full treatment! We were given an appointment for four days past the day the IVs should have stopped. The office said to go ahead and keep up the IVs. When we went for our appointment, we got a PA that told me that if I loved my husband I would not be thinking about the extra 8000.00! We asked if the infection was gone, or if we would have to have more IVs. She had not even looked at the lab reports, didn't even have them with her. We were upset, and asked again about the IVs, she had a nurse come in and rip out my husband's picc line and told us he was no longer a patient. Ten years ago, Dr Dowell was a caring and involved Dr...now,… it is all about herding as many patients through and getting the money up front!

Dr Dowell is a real DORK!!!! CHARGES FOR OFFICE VISIT ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND FOR BASICALLY NOTHING!!!

RMID is a model for what healthcare should be and Dr. Dowell is the greatest doctor! He is smart, caring, funny, and dedicated to his patients. Thank you for dedicating your life to caring for the rest of us.

This is the hardest working physician practice I have witnessed. They work their butts off getting my insurance to pay, who cares if I get billed every month, I appreciate knowing what my account standing is. They actually work my insurance unlike other places who tell me to do it myself. They are not in in for the money at all. They offered me charity when my insurance out of pockets became too high for me. Also, I cannot speak for everyone but I would rather have someone start my IV who has started 24 or move EVERYDAY and only have to poke me twice. I think its great they are proud of what they do......they should be! The are awesome in everyway!

The billing office seems primative and unable to understand basic math. I keep getting billed for something that has been paid in full by insurance. Even after pointing out their simple mistakes, the bills keep coming... good luck!

His staff ignored the fact they could not draw labs even after flushing my port. It did not phase them. Nor did it phase them when they pulled my PICC line and it was covered w/ clotted blood. It took 3 trips to the ER to diagnose 3 big clots (each time RMID was consulted by phone only, they did not bother to come to the hospital and told the ER docs do what you want) The clots became permanent and to top off their earlier negligence of signs of clotting the clots were inevitable as they ordered the PICC in the same arm the infection existed.

If you have an easy to treat disease go for it. If there's a problem, they'll ignore you. He didn't fix my problem and my family physician has now referred me to someone who cared. I should have gotten up and walked out the first day when the staff was crowing because they'd started 24 IVs that afternoon. Bad sign. I know better now. They pretend to be nice at first but they just want to do the same old cookie cutter treatment. If your treatment requires ANY and I do mean ANYthing out of the ordinary, don't expect them to care or do anything to help you.

When I initally started seeing this doctor I loved the clinic and staff. However after the title 3 part c program disappeared in wy they started being very rude and uncaring with patients
