Dr. Mark D Dressner, MD

I was his patient back in 2001. He refilled a medication I'd been on for 2 seizures I had 15 years earlier. I'd had no seizures or complications in those 15 years, but Doctor Dressner chose to report my situation to the health department, which triggered a complete medical evaluation by the California DMV. I asked Doctor Dressner to please not report such an old incident that happened in another state, but he insisted it would have no consequences. He was wrong. The medical evaluation was time consuming and stressful. I had to get statements from doctors back east, where the seizures occurred. Failure to respond with medical statements and other information in a very short time would've resulted in revocation of my driver's license. I have had other doctors and even neurologists tell me since then that this was not only unnecessary and uncommon, but something they've never done. Beware. I was never able to trust Dr. Dressner again, and that violation of trust caused me to select… another doctor shortly thereafter.

He's extremely rude, doesn't believe anything you say unless it's written in your chart. I did not like his bedside manner at all. If you didn't answer his question, he would tell you, "you didn't answer my question." Was very rude about my weight. He made me anxious to be around, I felt like I was the wrong "kind" for him, and I'm not a minority. I tried my best to not see him, as little as possible and I'm glad he's not at the clinic anymore.

I don't really like this doctor because he was really sarcastic and scary when he first enter the room. He didn't bother to say hi or even bye.

This Doctor is horrible. He doesn't refer patients, especially when they need a REAL doctor. My mother suffered from lung cancer for over a year before being diagnosed properly at an ER one night. He ignored my mother's requests for a referral to a radiologist, which in the end, decreased my mother's changes of survival; stage 4.
