Dr. Mark H Edelman, MD

I met Dr. Edelman during a 45 day stay at Memorial Hermann Memorial City hospital after 4 major stomach procedures. During my stay he saw me daily for a number of weeks to help manage a huge open stomach wound that was also experiencing infection. His care and professionalism both in the hospital as well as when I saw him weekly at the hospital wound care follow up is the reason my stomach wound healed quicker than the initial surgeon had stated. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Edelman. He listened to concerns that both me and my wife shared with him and communicated effectively in the steps needed for my care. Also, his office staff is top notch and very friendly.

Dr edleman WAS good, over the years he has grown to be very bullish does not listin and thinks he knows everything, just because you went to medical school does not mean he knows it all, staff has taken on his personality of a brutish mean thug, he yells and demands his way totally neglecting what you say about your body like we dunt umderstand our own body. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN. He dosent listin and always looks mad, beside manner is horrible.

Dr. Mark Edelman has reconstructed my breasts twice during my two battles with breast cancer. Dr. Edelman is an amazing plastic surgeon. His finished work is photogenic, and he really cares about his patients.I am truly gratefull that Dr. Edelman was recommended to me 11 years ago.

Did a biopsy in the chair after ineffective deadening and non-washing of hands. He did not wear gloves and he smelled of lunch/salami on his hands. I was mortified. Now, my records are being transferred to another doctor but I cannot get office cooperation. Watch out for this one - he has fallen mightily from what he was 10 years ago.

- does not listen carefully to the patient- cuts are long and very visible, not like plastic surgeon's- services are extremely overpriced - staff is rude and not accomodating- do not recommend

1. At my first appointment it seemed that the doctor and his receptionist were arguing the whole time I was there.2. I was scheduled for surgery but no one informed me. I got a call from the hospital wondering where I was.3. I left a message to confirm my follow-up appointment and no one called me back.4. My follow-up appointment was rescheduled and no one told me. I left work early on a busy stressful day only to be told that the doctor wasn't in.I had no problems with the doctor himself, but dealing with his staff was a frustrating challenge.

Currently I have various family members to which Dr. Edelman is involved in their care. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. Exceptional bedside manner, has taught wound care himself, excellent follow up, works for the patients and their best interest and needs. I highly recommend Dr. Edelman.
