Dr. Mark H Eig, MD

Dr. Eig overly prescribes Phentermine to patients for years at a time. Patients that are not overweight but are dependent on the drug and may use it for psychological reasons. He was sanctioned by Maryland for this behavior 10 years ago. He has not stopped harming people with the drug - I now know of two that had difficulty getting off Phentermine after being on it for over a decade.

Dr. Eig is a healer; he doesn't treat the symptoms. He helps you tackle the root cause. His practice is unique; he spends time getting to know you and tries to understand the underlying causes of your medical problems. My first visit with him was an hour, and subsequent visits are a half hour. I'm 62, and he's the most exceptional physician I've ever had. I can't recommend him highly enough. Please note if you want hand-holding, and you aren't ready to change your behavior, this isn't your guy.

Dr. Eig is brilliant, thorough and innovative. I have a rare illness with no cure and no proven treatments. These facts didn’t hold back, waiver, bring skepticism, bias or doubt for Dr. Eig, he researched and researched, learned everything known about my illness. He then took in every single detail I gave him about my after effects of it, he listens to you and encourages your thoughts and feed backs. He will figure out something and addresses everything. He will come up with various options to tackle each, thoroughly explaining and always teaches me something every visit. His recommendations are of all methods, from medical, scientific to unconventional (from life style, nutrition, physical, mental, therapies, specialists, homeopathic and even accommodations to look into for aid beyond his reach) He will never give up on you, and you are never just a number to him, you are important to him and he makes you know it. Dr. Eig is a real character, sometimes an odd ball, a serious… thinker, determined, witty and a very intriguing individual. He has a passion for his calling like none other! My illness is life debilitating on all levels and Dr. Eig has done for me both immediately and lasting, than what any other has even come close to over my 25 years with my illness, and all in just the 4 years I’ve been under his care. He is undoubtedly the best there is!!! Also his aid/right hand lady is amazing, so kind and accommodating.

Dr. Eig saved my life years ago when I returned from Israel with an unknown disease. Cannot say enough good about how he finds a way to cure.

I was his patient for years, leaving his practice only because I moved West. He's brilliant, caring (he once phoned me at home to see if I was better), creative, and analytical, if a little intense. One alleged ex-patient here gave him one star and alluded darkly to discipline by the state medical board. Google it: He was reprimanded in 2009 for inadequate record-keeping, nothing more. Highly recommended!

Fraud. Sanctioned for a reason. Has been reported to the MD Board of Physicians again for a reason. Prescribes drugs that people do not need. Phentermine long term to people that are not overweight doing harm. A fraud.

Dr. Eig treats patients like they are intelligent people. He listens to them so he can really learn about their health. he is very, very smart and he genuinely likes people and loves medicine.
