My mom was diagnosed with infective endocarditis which had invaded 2 valves. The surgery was high risk and the hospital my mom was at wasn't equipped to handle it. She found herself in Dr. Epler's care and I couldn't be more happier that she did. He performed a high risk surgery on her and gave her another chance at life! I can't recommend him enough! Very thorough and transparent and all our questions were answered.

Dr Epler saved my life in 2016. He is VERY Respectful and answers ALL my questions and always explains my situation in full detail. He is also the nicest most caring surgeon I ever met. He is the BEST.

After failing a stress test, I found myself unexpectedly under Dr. Epler's care. He is a consummate professional, keeping me filled in on what was needed and what to expect. He performed triple bypass surgery on me exactly two weeks ago today, and my recovery has thus far been perfect due to the excellent work of Dr. Epler. I can not recommend him highly enough. I will be able to return to work, on a work from home basis, in about five more days. Dr. Epler, his staff and the Lancaster General Hospital system have all been highly competent and efficient throughout my ordeal.

I would like to thank Dr. Mark Epler for saving my fathers life. With a valve replacement and unexpected double bypass with complications Dr. Epler was fantastic! His caring and compassionate bedside manner along with his surgical expertise makes him top notch. Our family would like to thank Dr. Epler for giving Dad back to us, with many more years to go. Would recommend him to everyone.
