If u could give this place 0 stars I would. Please listen to the reviews and take your money elsewhere. When I called to ask questions before booking the appointment, hoping they could help my husband with the terrible pain caused his TMJ (supposed TMJ specialist) I was told for $250 he would be getting X-rays, to see where the TMJ sat and how severe it was, as well as a physical exam and discussion about which treatment would best fit the diagnosis. So, I booked hoping he could help my husband. He went in, waited 1.5 HOURS, moved to two different rooms while waiting, nothing done just moved rooms for whatever reason. Finally the doctor came in at 5pm (appt was at 3:30pm) asked about the pain, touched his face a little and suggested a $9k splint (cash pay price). And that he would need to go elsewhere for a MRI/X-rays of his jaw. When It was mentioned he didn't have insurance and MRIs can be pricey he said he'd order a CT scan instead, "it's cheaper". So ITS NOT included in the $250!!!… Already flustered about waste of time, he paid and left. Fast forward to my dentist appt elsewhere, I explain what happened to them after overhearing them treating someone with TMJ. I explain what happened and they said $250 should've included the X-rays at very least and "you should call." So, upset that we were ripped off I called multiple times throughout the day, no answer, so finally I left a voicemail. Next day I get a call from someone at dr. Escotos office, she was extremely unprofessional, she said THE RECEPTIONIST THAT TOLD ME X-RAYS WERE INCLUDED WAS WRONG AND MEANT SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, X-RAYS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AT WHATEVER PLACE THEY REFERRED (Not what the actual doctor said though, the other place charges). THAT ITS NORMAL TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF AT A DOCTOR, MY HUSBAND MUST NOT "UNDERSTAND" THE TREATMENT PLAN EXPLAINED AND DR. Escoto HAS A MASTERS AND CAN CHARGE $250 FOR TOUCHING SOMEONES FACE FOR 5 MINUTES IF HE WANTS TO. I swear. I was dumbfounded when she said this. After calling my husband stupid in so many words I got upset and she hung up in my face. They did NOTHING for him and took the $250 and his time without a care in the world. On the other hand MY DENTIST (top dentists in Las Vegas, best reviews), will be taking my husband in, $225 for the X-rays/ exams ect and it GOES TOWARDS WHICHEVER TREATMENT THEY CHOOSE. And 6k for cash pay splint not 9k!! I wish I'd asked them first instead of using Google for TMJ specialists. The only thing DR. ESCOTOs office specializes in is Scamming, Being Unprofessional and wasting time.
