Dr. Mark A Evanko, DO

I have been w/Dr, Evanko DO since Dr. Milligan DO. late 1980s early 90s. He is a man a doctor who wants to be able to help people in need of health care. with gifts given to him by God. I personally have had no problems but help with my health. I do believe better than a MD. I am a nurse and worked as well as being a patient. 5 stars

Dr. Evanko is one of the most kind doctors we have ever seen. My husband (72) recently needed to get established with a primary care doctor and we chose Dr. Evanko after researching the doctors that were part of our health care plan. After our second visit yesterday, we are convinced that he is an outstanding doctor! He is extremely knowledgeable, and he makes the patient feel like he cares about them.

I have been seeing doctor Evanko for 10 years as my primary doctor. After my workers comp ended I was forced to find a new doctor to care for my health. I have been suffering with chronic lower back pain injury and a SI injury. I have been on pain medication for 14 years. When I brought in over 14 years of medical records for Dr. Evanko's review he never lifted a hand to read my medical records. I tried to explain to him that I wanted to address my chronic back pain and injury with him and continue services with a doctor who I had built a report with and who knew me and my health issues. He refused to become my pain care doctor and continue my pain medications. His exact words " I wont and I will not write any pain medications to anyone that comes through his door. He told me although he thought I was a man of integrity but, he was not going to jail for providing pain medications to chronic pain patients. He refused to review my medical records and become my care provider. Mean while… a friend who was seeking a doctor in the area asked me if I knew of a doctor he could get into see. I referred him to Dr. Evanko. My friend contacted me the same day to inform me that he got into to see Dr. Evanko and that he wrote him a prescription for pain medication. This doctor has hand selected someone off the street to provide pain medication instead of a patient who he has seen for over 10 years who had 14 years of medical records and a MRI that he refused to review. I am happy to say that I found a professional doctor in the area who is a caring doctor who is more interested in providing care for his patients than hand pick them who are worthy of his medical care. My friend is looking for a new doctor. I wonder why?

Dr Evanko should not be allowed to prescribe anti depressants or anxiety meds. He is not trained to do so and the fact that he continues to do so is scary. The staff is unprofessional and it's impossible to communicate with his medical assistant. Do not go see this doctor.

Surprised the clinic was able to bring me in within 24 hrs! Staff was friendly. Dr. was warm & professional. Felt very at ease. Diagnosed my bacterial infection w/ ear/throat inspection. Appreciated being brought in so quickly and financial arrangements were very accommodating. Guided me for low cost Rx purchase. Very high marks from me!

Dr. Evanko is unqualified to prescribe antipsychotic or SSRI medication. His practice of doing so is unsupervised by licensed professionals in that field. The results have been adverse drug interaction leading to worsening patient conditions.

Refused to see me over 20 dollars! Guess not all healthcare professionals are in it to help people.

Can rarely get thru on the phone the first time, if the staff was half as good as the Dr, it would be good, but the front office usually leaves much to be desired.

Dr Evanko is a fantastic doctor in all respects.The only problem is that you can never call his office and get anyone live, phone rings and rings then goes to a voice mail saying they are busy, call back later. They need to change their phone system and let us select what/who we want. Going directly to someone's voice mail is much better than not getting through at all. On 2 seperate occassions it has taken me 3 weeks to get through on the phone and get a message to DR. Evanko,his pharmacy or his assistant. Other than that, which is quite enough,the service is very good and again, they don't come any better than Mark Evanko.
