Oh, this guy is so bad. I was without dental care for a while and when I finally started going back, I went to him to "get caught up". I did need some fairly routine maintenance done (fillings replaced and such), but Dr. Faught recommended so much more than that. He recommended porcelain crowns, root canals, possible teeth extractions, quarterly teeth cleanings with once a year dental scalings, and so much more. I went along with it because I thought I needed all of it. I thought "Well, this is the dentist. He knows what I need." Wrong. Let me tell you what I found out later. First, he placed several beautiful white (expensive) porcelain crowns on one side of my mouth. He absolutely COULD NOT get them to fit well, one in particular. It caused me quite a bit of pain. I was seeing him at least once a week for almost 2 months trying to get it to work. He kept getting me to grind my teeth together on some sort of indicator paper to show him how the tooth was fitting. I would… grind, he would shave off parts of the tooth. I would tell him it still hurt and wasn't fitting right. He would snarkily say to me "Well, if you would just SHOW me how it's not fitting I could fix it !!" Lather, rinse, repeat. Let's discuss this. I could do nothing more than grind my teeth together as he was instructing me to do which was incredibly painful. I would grind my teeth together 10 times during a visit, in every way my jaw would move. I couldn't do any more than that, but he kept insisting that it was all my fault that I wasn't "showing" him. What did he want me to do!?!??! After weeks of him blaming me I finally asked his dental hygienist how to get him to understand what I needed done, how to talk to him more productively, and to stop being so condescending to me. She bent down and whispered in my ear that he treats ALL of his female staff and patients like that. He was well known for making people feel stupid. Ugh. After a few more weeks of him making me cry at every visit, I snapped one day and yelled back at him that he was treating me horribly. I was so embarrassed. He followed me out into the waiting room while I was crying repeating the same thing....in the same accusatory and snarky tone...over and over "YOU HAVE TO SHOW ME!!" I never went back after that. Fast forward to today. That crown popped off. My new dentist pointed out that the reason it didn't fit was because it was put in backwards. Let me repeat that....IT WAS PUT ON COMPLETELY BACKWARDS!!! My new dentist said that it was no wonder it was so painful. He said that it actually caused all of my teeth to shift to accommodate how it was placed and that's why my bite is so completely messed up and painful now. Plus, my new dentist says that all of my old problems that I didn't let Dr. Faught complete will be easily fixed by replacing a few fillings. No tooth extractions are necessary. No root canals are necessary. No more expensive porcelain crowns are necessary. In short, he has a horrible chair-side manner. He (apparently) treats his staff badly. He will recommend thousands of dollars of unnecessary work (he's gotta pay for that swanky office building somehow), and he'll cause you pain, and possibly permanent damage, through his incompetence. Just stay away. Far, far, far away....trust me.

They take their time and do an outstanding job. I am not fond of dentists because of prior terrors in a dentist chair and told them that up front. These folks have been awesome and very compassionate.
