Dr. Mark Flesher, MD

his review is for Dr Mark Flesher, and I will say that I have been fighting writing this review as I know that he isn't an uncaring person & I know his parents. First, my issue is that I was prescribed anti-depressants when I came in with a weight-loss, nausea, and stomach pain issue which resulted in 20 lbs lost over 4 weeks (10% of body weight.) Not a problem in itself as nausea subsided and I was able to eat again, the issue is that he didn't ask close to enough questions to determine if I was someone who should be taking psychotropic drugs (that he gets a kickback on from those companies.) It was determined a month later by a licensed psychologist that I have a bipolar disorder and should never have been placed on those drugs as it causes MANIA!!! Yeah, he literally made me go crazy for a month and refused to entertain the idea that the pharmaceuticals weren't for me because I wasn't on them long enough. During this time it got so bad that I was concerned I might injure myself,… which was new as I'd never had these thoughts before, but at that time I couldn't stop thinking that way. Instead of asking loads of questions and being very cautious, Dr Flesher did what any "good" doctor/salesperson does and told me about all these great vaccines that I should be receiving and a list of other very basic medical & lifestyle suggestions. Of course, this was talked about like a broken record at every appointment over the 6 visits along with his condescending anecdotes & attempts to overcome his very obvious self-confidence issues by talking over most patients' heads... Yeah, I saw through it. Moral of the story: Be cautious if you are being placed on psychotropic drugs by an untrained "professional" as it could cost you your life.

I see him for trt treatment seems to know a lot about it and is willing to work with you and doesn't want you to close doors that don't need closing for having kids and stuff.

Dr. Flesher is a good overall family physician. He listens to our concerns and is able to use his experience to help us to understand what is going on and why. He is willing to write prescriptions when needed and has always gotten back to us with results and information within a working day.

I think he is a lil retarded or something is off with this guy and his staff are like a bunch of 10 year old's who don't like to work. If you do see this guy he wont give your prescription in tell hes made enough money off you and even then it probably will be a wrong diagnoses.

Mark Flesher was my primary care physician for over a decade when I lived in the Tri-Cities. He explicitly refused to prescribe birth control suitable to my needs and would only offer a prescription that had caused unacceptable side-effects--that he had prescribed, so he knew about it. On more than one occasion, he suggested that I "have a baby" to allegedly resolve the issues that had prompted my asking for birth control in the first place. And he repeatedly questioned why I even wanted birth control since I was married. He refused to seriously investigate years'-long complaints about chronic pain and tried to convince me that it was largely imaginary. It was later easily diagnosed via MRI as disc impingement of my spinal cord. I ended up requiring a spinal fusion and diskectomy. Under Dr. Flesher's orders, I went through multiple courses of physical therapy and had numerous steroid injections to my shoulder for bursitis. The bottom line is that Mark Flesher is, in my… personal experience, habitually a profoundly unethical practitioner who injects his personal beliefs into his diagnosis and treatment methods, rather than practicing medicine based on what is actually medically appropriate.

Does not respond in a timely fashion to filling prescriptions. This last time he ignored pharmacy calls twice ( very typical of his office) and three calls made by my husband or myself. After almost three weeks, I had to go into the office and pick up the prescription myself . Does not listen and pushes his agenda even while putting a patient at risk. My husband does not have high blood pressure. That has been verified many times by medical professionals, including those who see him twice a month for his donation of blood plasma. Yet every time my husband goes in Dr. F"s, he is badgered into accepting a prescription he does not need.

A very nice Dr. and gave the time and treatment I needed. He got right back to me as soon as tests were in. He cares about our whole family.

Dr. Flesher is a kind and caring family physician. Some of the 1 star reviews on this website are for some sort of marriage counselor or therapist named Flescher. They are not his. Our family has seen him for 17 years and he is patient, caring, and takes great care of us.

Dr. Flesher has always taken time to really listen to me. I've had several doctors that are dismissive or when listen when you first start to explain but then cut you off, thinking they have the answer already. Dr. Flesher provides so much better treatment. I'm consider myself fortunate to have found such a qualified and respectful doctor.

Listened to my problem and sent me for the right tests. He got right back to me with the results.
